Friday Favorites {#133}

Hello! Well, it’s finally Friday. We’ve had an action-packed week, and yesterday was a doozy of a day at school; I’m definitely ready for the weekend!

As always, I’m linking up with Andrea and Erika for this week’s Friday Favorites.

Here are some favorites from the week:

Hayden’s back on the basketball court, and it’s fun watching him play. I’m sure he doesn’t think it’s funny, but it’s interesting to watching him after to get back in “basketball shape.” There’s a difference in running 30+ miles a week and sprinting up and down the court. haha

A few spooky decorations out front always help make the porch a bit more festive for Halloween.

I’m glad I took this photo on Sunday. Almost all of our beautiful leaves are now on the ground. They usually hang on until around Halloween, and then the trees are bare.

Hadley and friends had a fun Saturday night out on the town.

I bought a new pair of mules a couple of weeks ago, and I love them. They are suede and I bought them in gray. I remember having a black pair my first year teaching over 20 years ago…things really do come back in style!

The weather cooled off a few days this week, so I wore them a couple of times. I’ve had this tank for a couple of years (I have a black one too), and it’s perfect to put on under sweaters and sweatshirts. I loved this outfit that I wore one day this week. Comfy and trying to be stylish!

Last week, I made Lasagna Cups using Wonton wrappers and had half a package leftover. Last night, I made these Chicken Bacon Ranch Wonton Cups, and they were a hit.

Speaking of dinners…a favorite meal of ours this time of the year is our Halloween meal.

We haven’t had our “Spooky Dinner” yet. I wish I’d thought to have made it last Sunday when we carved our pumpkins. So, I think we’ll have “bloody fingers” and “brains” for dinner this Sunday.

…or I might make “Mummy dogs”

Favorite Mom Meme:

*Sigh* I always had to give my kids a deadline to not change their minds once I’ve purchased the costume.

Bonus Fave: Flashback Friday:

I probably share this every year, but this was my favorite costume duo that the kids chose to be in 2013. Hadley as Robin to Hayden’s Batman.

Also, I clearly remember Hayden perusing the Toys R Us magazine in 2012 as he looked for birthday ideas. Those pinchy cheeks are too cute.

Weekly Recap:

Here are my posts from the week:

What are your weekend plans? I’m so excited for a Girls Night tonight! Heather McMahan is coming to town, and you know I’m not going to miss that! The kids are busy with a few Halloween and school activities this weekend too. ‘Tis the season!

I hope you have a great weekend.

Happy Friday, y’all! How was your week? I’m definitely ready for the weekend… I can tell you that much!

As always, I’m linking up with Andrea and Erika for this week’s Friday Favorites.

This week’s favorites are just my favorite(s) of each day. I’m trying to take a moment to look at the little and big moments of each day.

Saturday:

As I shared in Monday’s post, Hayden had state cross country on Saturday. It’s hard to believe that his second middle school season is over. He’s ready to come back stronger and faster next year.

Sunday:

Sunday was one of my favorite days of the year…we went to the pumpkin patch!

Then, it was Hayden’s turn for the “you are special” red plate for the end of his 7th grade cross country season.

Monday:

On Monday, the temps cooled off significantly, and I was ready to dress for fall! I picked up this plaid flannel at Target and love it. It’s a high/low style, so it’s long enough to wear with leggings, but I wore it with jeggings to school. It’s definitely oversized, and I settled on the medium after the large seemed too roomy (I ordered both sizes and returned one). I didn’t realize when I ordered it, but it has pockets. Win, win!

Tuesday:

After school on Tuesday, I stopped by the library for a couple of books I had on hold. Like last year, I wanted to read at least one Christmas book in November before reading a few more in December. I decided to go ahead and request a couple and these were ready for me:

{Side note: please let me know of any holiday/Christmas book recs you have!}

Tuesday evening, Hadley joined Trav’s club season group for a run. I reminded her how cold it was outside and to dress warmly. She came out wearing sweats and said, “I look like Major!”

His “Majoriform” is definitely sweats and tennis shoes. He likes to keep it comfy 24/7.

Wednesday:

Wednesday afternoon, we were headed out the front door, and our trees stopped me in my tracks. The sun light was hitting them just right. I always love how beautiful the leaves are, but then I feel like they don’t stay on the trees long enough.

Thursday:

On Monday, I saw that Antique Candle Co. was offering 25% off their Tree Farm candle, so I went ahead and snagged it! It arrived yesterday. While I’m still savoring the days of fall, I know this will be a favorite scent in colder months.

Also…

Cross country photos came in this week. Trav’s brother took the team photos, and they turned out amazing!

And…I know this guy! Travis was interviewed on TVG. So proud of him.

Favorite Mom Meme:

Y’all this is a bone of contention at my house. Nothing drives me crazier than the cup upside down in the sink (I tell Hayden he’s like the Wet Bandits…this is his signature move!), the toilet paper roll on the counter, or the backpack in the middle of the floor!

Bonus Fave: Flashback Friday

OMG…this pic from 2012 is one of my faves. This was before Kroger Clicklist. The kids loved riding in the car shopping cart. My first stop would always be produce to pick them up an apple to snack on (of course, I’d pay for them at check out!). This kept them busy while I shopped as quickly as possible!

Do you know how many “Bless your hearts” I got while out shopping with these two?! I sure miss those days.

Weekly Recap:

I was a busy blogger this week. Here are my posts:

What are you up to this weekend? Travis will be working quite a bit, but the rest of us don’t have as much going on. A Saturday with no sports…what is this life? The same can’t be said about Friday evening and Sunday afternoon! We’ll make the most of the weekend, I’m sure.

Thanks so much for reading.

Hello and Happy Friday!

This week was a good one, but re-entry after a week off for break was quite the adjustment. Besides school, work, and regular evening commitments, I just felt like we had a few extra things thrown in like early Student Council meetings and flu shot appointments.

Anyway, TGIF…and I’m linking up with Andrea and Erika for this week’s Friday Favorites.

Favorite Moment:

Tuesday was a BIG day around here. Hadley got her last set of braces off! This second phase was supposed to be about two years, and she finished up three months early.

I love that smile!

Progress through the years…phase one start and finish and phase two start and finish.

A win for me…I’ve finished my first round (30 weeks) of Invisalign. One thing I didn’t think I’d ever have in common with my almost teenagers is having ortho appointments at the same time. Here we are headed to our appointments Tuesday morning.

I get my next set of trays in about a month…and fingers crossed…Hayden will be finished with braces the first of the year.

Favorite Clothes:

I had a couple favorites from my recent Stitch Fix order. I’ve been using Stitch Fix for probably five years or so. I get four shipments a year. I usually keep one to two things per box. My stylist over the past year or so is Narci, and I love what she picks out for me.

Something that SF has started doing the past year or so is sending an email in advance suggesting a few pieces they are putting in your box, and you say yes or no.

When I saw this knit jacket, I thought it would be great as a nicer outerwear option for fall and winter. I was trying on a few things for Keeneland, and thought I’d see how the coat looked with one of my dresses. I really love it.

There were two pairs of mid rise jeans in my order, and when I put on these “girl friend” jeans, I really liked them. I wasn’t sure if they were “age appropriate” for me, (read: am I too old to have holes in my jeans?), but when I showed them to Hadley, she approved and said they were “giving.” That’s a good thing, BTW.

I have Stitch Fix referral link (every customer does) if you are interested in trying it out.

Favorite Foods:

I went to Trader Joe’s for fruit, and came home with this pumpkin brioche bread (and the fruit)…and it’s delish! Hadley’s been having a slice for breakfast, and I’ve had it for a snack a time or two. Yummy.

I had Amy’s Dorito salad for lunch three times this week. Easy to prep and so good.

Other Faves:

My big blue crew are a fave. They were dressed and ready for the cooler temps. (Hayden is an example of how middle school boys dress even when the temps dip below 50…he did take a sweatshirt) for the football game last weekend. Another fave…while they were gone, I had the house to myself. haha!

Hadley had a big week! Besides getting her braces off, she also made the school volleyball team. Tryouts were on Tuesday, so she earned the red plate for dinner. When I put her dinner on the plate, she said she hadn’t made the team yet. I reminded her it was about the effort and not the outcome. After not playing much since before Covid and with many girls trying out, she was nervous. That being said, she felt good about her tryout…which is all she could ask for.

She’s excited to get back on the court this season, and we can’t wait to watch.

Ok –this is a random favorite, but do you follow Brunch with Babs on Instagram? She’s so much fun, and she shares tips pretty often. She mentioned that most washers have a delayed start, so to check it out and use that as a way to start laundry when needed. Our washer is a couple of years old, so I figured it would have that feature. Well, I checked…and it did! I don’t like running the washer or dryer when we aren’t home, so this will be a good way to throw laundry in and set the start for the early morning or afternoon.

Favorite Mom Meme:

hashtag: that mom life

Bonus Fave…Flashback Friday:

With Hadley back on the volleyball court again, here’s a pic of her at a skills session a few years ago. Seems like a lifetime ago.

Weekly Recap:

Here are my posts this week in case you missed one!

What do you have on tap this weekend? I’m really hoping for a quiet night at home watching a movie with the fam. We’ve done a pretty good job watching a movie a month together this year. Then, Saturday is state cross country. Fingers crossed, I think Hayden’s leg is much better. Not sure if we’ll get there, but I was hoping to get to the pumpkin patch this weekend too. We’ll see!

Thanks so much for reading!

Hello!

How was your week? We had a great one because it was Fall Break and we had so much fun in the sun.

Well, I can’t believe it, but it’s the last day of our Fall Break. We went to the Destin area of Florida with a few other families, and we had such a great time. Honestly, I couldn’t have imagined a better trip.

As always, I’m linking up with Andrea and Erika for this week’s Friday Favorites.

It felt odd moving forward with our planned trip as all eyes were on Hurricane Ian in the days before our break. There was so much destruction and devastation in so many parts of Florida, including our usual vacay spot of Siesta Key.

Amazingly, Hurricane Ian didn’t make it to the Destin/30A area.

I’m sure I will give a more detailed recap, but…

…here are a few favorite photos from our week in Santa Rosa:

While a couple more days would have been nice, we’re all ready for our own beds and can’t wait to see Homer. Truly, it was a great time with great friends. So many memories were made, and it was such a blessing to get away for a bit.

Not Just a Mom:

Wow! Monday is already the second Monday of the month which means it’s time for our monthly link up. We’d love to have you join us.

This month’s topic is: how we host.

Honestly, it’s been a minute since I’ve hosted for a party or get together. Let me know what tips you have!

Weekly Recap:

Even while on vacay, I had a few posts this week:

What are your weekend plans? We will be unpacking and prepping for the week ahead with a few activities on tap as well.

See you back here on Monday for Not Just a Mom.

Hello! Happy FRIDAY!

How was your week? We had a really good one. It was busy of course, and I kind of hit a wall on Wednesday with life just catching up with me, but it was a really great week.

Bonus: it felt like fall all week!

As always, I’m linking up with Andrea and Erika for this week’s Friday Favorites.

I have so many favorites to share this week.

Last Friday night was raging with a late evening trip to Trader Joe’s. My cart was full of fall goodness though…pumpkins, mums, bagels, donuts, and more.

Saturday morning’s breakfast was my favorite kind: an apple cider donut and coffee.

Travis and the kids went to the football game. The kids were early tailgaters with Travis joining them later. Hadley really does love football Saturdays in the bluegrass state.

The Major came to visit which means we had to take the traditional porch pic.

On Sunday, we went and watched Wyatt play flag football. I remember when Hayden used to play. So fun.

Hadley and I tried a new recipe: Pumpkin Crinkle cookies. We made them for Sunday night dessert, and they were so good.

Layla (and Wyatt) came over after school on Tuesday. They played outside, and Layla made an impromptu masterpiece.

It’s been spirit week in middle school this week. I joke that no one loves a theme more than a middle school girl!

Tuesday night was a big cross country meet. It was the end of the season county meet. My nephew who is becoming an amazing photographer, snapped some awesome action shots of Hayden.

…and this one of Travis and Hayden. I love it so much.

Hayden pushed himself to the max, had another PR (personal record) and placed 4th. The team placed 2nd in a very tight race. It was an exciting evening of racing. (And we were all thankful that the weather finally cooled off for a race.)

He was pretty wiped out after the race. I know he gave 110% in the race, but the next day he complained of a sore throat. Yep…Hayden’s turn for strep! (obviously not a fave…)

Wednesday I was so tired. I decided to dress really comfy to make myself feel better. Outfit courtesy of Amazon. I’ve worn these joggers a few times already, and added this light weight sweatshirt to my wardrobe. {affiliate links}

(Also, in an attempt to keep my closet tidy, I put a similar black top that’s too big in my donate pile. One in, one out!)

Favorite Mom Meme:

Daughter and Son Day sure snuck up on me! I hope the kids know I love them even if I didn’t post about them on the social medias. 😉

Bonus Fave: Flashback Friday

Going to Wyatt’s game was timely because this memory of Hayden popped up in my Facebook memories this week. He did flag football for two years. We loved going to his games.

Weekly Recap

I had a week full of posts…

Well, this is the best kind of Friday. It’s our last day of school before a week long Fall Break next week. Our district has never given us a week in the past. My previous district gave us a week, and I never really felt like I needed a whole week off at this point in the school year. That being said, I’m not mad about it! We’re looking forward to be a bit of R&R.

I should be posting pretty regularly next week, but I will just see how the week goes.

Thanks so much for reading.

Hello and Happy Friday!

I kind of feel like I’m limping into Friday. It was a good week, but filled with later days at school and hectic evenings. Then, Hadley ended up with strep (again!) to round out the week.

As always, I’m linking up with Andrea and Erika for this week’s Friday Favorites.

Favorite Moment:

The weather deciding to feel like fall! Yesterday, was bliss! The ten day looks amazing as well.

Favorite Clothing Item:

I’m loving my new dress from Shop Style You Senses. I follow Mallory and crew on Instagram, and picked out this purple dress that’s perfect for the transition from summer to fall. I wore it this week and had lots of compliments.

Favorite Accessory:

I ordered two new bracelets recently from Daily Gold Co. I got the Ashley bracelet in silver and the Randy bracelet in rose gold. They can apparently be worn 24/7, and that’s what I’ve done over the past few weeks. Additional bracelets will probably be a gift idea for anyone who asks in the future.

Favorite Show:

My mom told me about Abbott Elementary, and it’s so good. I’m watching season 1, and season 2 started this week. I will get to it soon.

Favorite Kid Quote:

On Sunday, Travis was working, so I prepped dinner before taking Hayden to basketball. I asked Hadley to bake the chicken while we were gone and heat up the Bob Evans mashed potatoes. When we got home, she had dinner ready and said, “Uh…being a mom is hard work. I had to set so many timers. Also, I hope I marry a husband who cooks.” lol 😂

Favorite Mom Meme:

While this is true of my kids, I also get sucked into watching bakers ice cookies, so I guess I can’t really get too torn up about it.

Bonus Fave: Flashback Friday:

Fun fact: Hadley was a very serious baby and toddler. She mastered the RBF early. Thankfully, she lightened up a bit, and has been pretty “happy go lucky” ever since.

Here she is in 2011…and really couldn’t be bothered 😉

Weekly Recap:

I had a few posts this week! I recapped the weekend, shared some of my fall purchases at Trader Joe’s as well as my fall decorations.

What are your weekend plans? Actually, we don’t have much on tap. Hayden doesn’t have a cross country meet, so that frees up our Saturday. We’ll probably go to the UK game (or…at least Hayden and Travis probably will), and see where the rest of the weekend takes us.

I hope you have a good one!

Hello! What a week! How was yours?

Our was good, but it never fails that I always hit the point of being back to school where I’m tired and feel like I’m fighting getting run down and sick. I feel ok, but I just felt like I couldn’t get to bed fast enough most nights this week.

As always, I’m linking up with Andrea and Erika for this week’s Friday Favorites.

Here are some favorites from the week:

Favorite Photo:

Homer was ready for the Chiefs game on Sunday. It’s our tradition to take his pic with his Chiefs scarf and football. Hadley helped me get this one of him:

He was good luck for a win on Sunday (& last night too!) #MaHomer

Favorite Fall Thing:

My mom was visiting this past week, and she gave me a new mug. It sums me up in five words:

Favorite Foods:

She also brought Hayden some Kelce’s Crunch. Hayden also has the box of Mahomes Magic Crunch from a couple years ago. He’s all about those Chieefffssss!

I bought the ingredients a couple of weeks ago, but we finally had time to make Shay’s S’mores cookies. Hadley made them on Sunday with minimal help from me. They turned out delish. We may even make them again this weekend.

On Monday night, I made another one of Shay’s recipes. Her Minestrone Skillet hit the spot. Y’all, it made so much we were still having it to eat last night! That being said, Travis wasn’t home much for dinner, and everyone kind of just had whatever they wanted most nights, but it sure does feed a crowd!

Favorite Moments:

With my mom visiting, we hung out with the cousins a bit more than we would on a regular week.

Hayden helped Layla with her sight words…

…and Hadley cheered on Wyatt at his fall ball game.

Coach White’s runners brought home their first trophy of the season last Saturday. Hayden had another PR too!

Favorite Clothing Item:

Did you see my post yesterday? This popover sweatshirt from Walmart is definitely a new fave for me. I can’t wait for the weather to cool off, so I can wear it more often.

Favorite Kid Quote:

Hayden said, “Mom, did you know that10% of people in the world are left handed?” Then, without missing a beat he said, “See…I am rare!” 😂

I’ve probably shared this fact before, but in my family, my Gma, my mom, and my aunt are all left handed….followed by me and now both of my kids are left handed as well. Travis actually does a few thing left handed too.

Favorite Mom Meme:

We barely eat dinner together let alone breakfast…

Bonus Fave: Flashback Friday:

This picture popped up in my Facebook memories. It was 2017, and Hayden and I went to a mother/son dinner and dance. It was so fun. What a sweet memory.

Weekly Recap:

This week, I had posts on quite a few things…exercising, day in the life, closet organization, and a few favorite fall clothing items:

What are your weekend plans? I sure hope to get my house decorated for fall. That’s my #1 goal this weekend. I think that will improve my mood…at least I hope so! 😉

Thanks so much for reading,

Friday Favorites {#126}

Hello and Happy Friday. Why do the shorter weeks feel so long? We had a good week full of school and activities, but most of my favorites happened last weekend.

Today, I’m linking up with Andrea and Erika for this week’s Friday Favorites.

Here are some favorites from the week:

Last Friday, we went to the local drive in movie theater with some friends. It was the perfect way to end the week. There was a chance of rain that never happened, and it was nice to let the kids run around before the movie started, have some dinner, chat with friends, and watch Grease.

Saturday was SUCH a busy day! We were on the go the entire day.

Hayden had a cross country race, and again, there was a big chance of rain that never happened. Instead, it was muggy and hot. There were close to 200 runners, and Hayden placed 7th! The course was unlike any course I’d seen before with tight turns in some parts. The whole team did great and almost placed 3rd. They earned 4th out of 21 teams by only a few points.

While we were at the cross country race, Hadley headed to the temple ceremony of a bat mitzvah for one of her friends. She was home when we got home, and then got ready for the party part of the bat mitzvah.

She looked so grown up and ready to have lots of fun with her friends.

After she left, Travis and I went to the UK game along with Hayden and some of his friends. I ended up sitting with one of my friends on the other side of the stadium while Travis “took one for the team” and sat with the boys in our regular seats.

It was such a beautiful night. I left around halftime to make my way back home, have some dinner and then go pick up Hadley and her friend.

Then, on Sunday, I didn’t get out of my pjs which was definitely a favorite.

On Monday, I did laundry, meal prepped, and did a few things around the house.

Then, Travis and I went couch shopping, and our new couch arrived on Wednesday. I think it’s just what we need for our family and Homer. It definitely needs broken in a bit, but…

…Homer approves 🤪

Favorite Mom Meme:

So relatable 😂

Bonus Fave: Flashback Friday

With the Chiefs back in action this weekend, I love this memory of Homer as a puppy in his Chiefs scarf. I will have to recreate that this year too.

2019 Homer

Weekly Recap:

Here are this week’s posts in case you missed one:

Not Just a Mom:

We have our monthly Not Just a Mom link up on Monday…

…This month’s topic is Favorite Workout Places…

If you have a blog, we hope you’ll join us!

Before I go, it’s definitely not a favorite, but I was certainly sad to hear about the passing of Queen Elizabeth. What an amazing life she lived and her legacy will carry on forever.

What are your weekend plans? We have a little of this and that. Hayden’s going to a birthday party, we may hit up a fall festival, Hayden has a cross country meet, and more!

See you back here on Monday for Not Just a Mom. I hope you have a great weekend.

Friday Favorites {#125}

Hello!

How was your week? Ours was pretty good. While it’s always hectic, I do feel like we are getting into more of a routine. We have our evening activity schedule moving pretty seamlessly, and I feel like the kids are finally understanding my urgent cries for them to, for the love of Pete, complete any and all homework upon arriving home. (insert palm on forehead emoji here)

Anyway, back to something more positive. It’s Friday which means I’m linking up with Andrea and Erika for this week’s Friday Favorites.

Honestly, this recap feels pretty short and sweet, but here are a few favorites from the week.

Hayden had a cross country meet on Saturday. It was the first two mile run of the season, and shew! it was hot! Hadley was living her best life at the pool while the rest of us were sweating it out at the cross country meet.

The entire team did an awesome job…and Hayden placed 2nd overall. Also, kudos to all the runners and the team placed 4th. Also, big shout out to Coach White because he ran the course during all three races cheering on (and coaching) his runners.

I think this season will be a great one!

Y’all, I shared this recipe that I saw on Instagram with you last week (I think?!)…and I finally got around to making it.

It’s definitely a family favorite. This is an easy and delish comfort food that’s a crowd pleaser. So good. I served it with broccoli one night and a salad the other night.

Speaking of recipes…This one is a bit healthier…I also made this Ground Turkey/Sweet Potato Casserole this week, and it was a hit.

I did add in cooked rice (Trader Joe’s Brown Rice) at the end before topping with shredded cheese and baking 10 final minutes. It made it feel more like a meal than a side dish.

Homer hearts Hadley…or is it the other way around? I found this random selfie on my phone the other day.

Picture it: September 1st at 6:15 AM…

I have a heavy rotation of fall candles, and I can’t wait to use them all. Coffee and a scented candle is my favorite way to start the day.

Favorite Mom Meme:

Homework help is in full swing. Pray for me.

Bonus Fave: Flashback Friday:

In honor of college football kicking off this weekend, here are a couple of my favorite CATS fans…

Remember yesterday’s post when I shared that Hayden tries not to miss a game, and Hadley never misses a tailgate?

Well, that started in 2011…

The biscuit in Hadley’s hand…she stole that from another tailgate.

And…proof that Hayden’s been “bleeding blue” since he was born!

Weekly Recap:

This week’s posts included funny memes, the books I read in August, and what I love about fall!

What are your long weekend plans? Well, if we survive tomorrow, we’ll be home free the rest of the weekend. Tomorrow includes a cross country meet, a bat mitzvah, and a UK football game.

Sunday and Monday have very little on tap! I think I will need a little rest!

See you back here on Tuesday. Thanks so much for reading.

Friday Favorites {#124}

Well, we made it to Friday! This week was a doozy with school (of course) and then plenty of kids’ activities every night. We’re ready for the weekend, but it looks like I will need to set an alarm for Saturday wake up. Oh well…it is what it is…

Today, I’m linking up with Andrea and Erika for this week’s Friday Favorites.

Here are some favorites from the week:

Favorite Pic:

We got Hadley’s dance studio headshots back, and there were so many good ones. It was hard to narrow down a fave, but this is the one I ordered…I can’t believe how grown up she looks!

Favorite Moment:

Speaking of grown up…Hayden (and Coach White!) had his first cross country race of the season, and I apparently need to train my eyes to look for a big kid out there running. I almost missed him as he ran by. He’s off to a very solid start with a second place finish. He’s put in a lot of time (and miles) this summer, and I can’t wait to see what he accomplishes this season!

Favorite Clothing Item:

I’ve been making a point to “shop my closet” (Travis really appreciates that too!), and I’ve shared my school teacher outfits the last couple of Wednesdays.

I was reunited with these Matilda Jane pants during my closet clean out, and I really loved Monday’s outfit. I felt put together and comfy all at once.

Favorite Scent:

Sunday started off cool and rainy, so I did exactly what you’d expect me to do: I lit a fall scented candle, of course. I’d been saving this Antique Candle Co. one for just the right time. The warm caramel crumble scent was a favorite way to start the day.

Favorite Food:

I tried a new slow cooker recipe (Creamy Crockpot Crack Chicken) this week, and it was a hit. I will definitely make it again. I only used two chicken breasts, and next time will use at least one more to guarantee leftovers.

Favorite Kid Quote:

Nothing in particular stood out this week, but instead just some extra one on one time with Hayden. Travis has been extra busy in the evenings (Hadley too), and it was just Hayden and I for dinner on Wednesday night. It was nice to have some solo time with him.

Favorite Mom Meme:

Or unload the dishwasher!

Bonus Fave: Flashback Friday

With cross country starting back up, here’s a little throw back to the kids’ first ever race when they were in Kindergarten. I’ve shared this before, but they were even in the local online magazine. They were so little…

Weekly Recap:

Here are my posts from this week…a little of this and a little of that…

What are your weekend plans? I don’t think we have much going on tonight, but Hayden has a cross country meet tomorrow, and then we have some other odds and ends to get accomplished this weekend.

See you back here Monday for some of my favorite memes this month.
