Five Fall Fits

Happy Thursday!

“Fit check” …if you have tweens or teach high school, you know what I’m talking about #IYKYK

With the weather finally cooling off (although, we have highs near 80 this coming weekend!), I’m sharing a few outfits that I know will be in the rotation this last month of fall!

1.

This oversized plaid flannel is a new addition to my closet. Because it’s a hi-low style, I’ve worn it with leggings, and then I wore it with skinnies and loafers to school one day.

2.

My apologies for the dirty mirror, but I wore this outfit when we went to Keeneland a few weeks ago.

I have this shirt in crimson and gray, and I got it from Target last year. The skirt is from Loft, and I’ve had it for years. I found it when I cleaned out my closet this summer! I paired this outfit with my new Target boots.

3.

This is my weekend “momiform.” My new Stitch Fix jeans, my fave Birks, and this cute sweatshirt from “SweetMommaBlair” Etsy shop.

I have a few sweatshirts from them, and they have so many cute options including lots of KC, Mizzou, and St. L gear!

4.

Leopard shirt two ways! This shirt is from Stitch Fix, and I’ve had it for a couple of years. I’ve recently paired it with my distressed black jeans from Target, that I purchased last year, and my new Amazon mules. {affiliate link}

Then, I wore the same top when we went to see Heather McMahan last week. I paired it with flare jeans from the Loft (that I picked up last year) and my favorite suede wedges from Nordstrom Rack that I’ve had for years.

5.

This mock neck Steve Madden sweater dress from Nordstrom just came in the mail. I haven’t yet worn it out and about, but I think it looks cute with the mules and then more casually with sneaks! It comes in a variety of colors. I know booties or my tall boots would look cute as well. I think I know what I’m wearing for Thanksgiving. 😉

While I can’t link much, I’m happy that I’ve been able to mostly “shop” my closet recently. That being said, I hope these outfits can provide a little “Fall Fit” inspiration! What are your favorite clothing items to wear in the fall?

See you back here tomorrow for Friday Favorites.

Currently

Hello!

Shew! I’m not sure which day is more crazy at school: Halloween or November 1st when the kids are all hyped up on candy!

Anyway, I’m excited to link up with Jennifer as she has recently taken over the Currently link up.

This month’s focus is Currently: borrowing, buying, planning, prepping, and reading.

Borrowing:

Library books! I haven’t started one of these Christmas books, but I hope to soon!

Buying:

Well, I did hold off until a couple of days before, but I have been buying Halloween candy!

Now, it’s time to start buying birthday gifts for the kids.

I also jumped on the On Cloud train. I realized I hadn’t purchased new workout shoes since Spring of 2020. Travis actually had a gift card to an local place, so we went there on Sunday. He’s picky about this tennis shoes and mostly wears Hokas, but he’s loved his new On Clouds. The pair I found were on sale which was an added bonus!

Planning:

…the kids birthday party! In only a few weeks these 12 year olds…

…will be teenagers!

I think the plan is to go to Activate Games for fun, pizza for dinner, and cookie cake for dessert one day soon.

Prepping:

I’m trying to prep for a busy November and December.

I’m starting to make “to do” lists for their birthday party as well as making lists for birthday and Christmas gifts. I think I’ve taken care of our Christmas card, want to start changing out the fall decorations for Christmas decorations, and more. I don’t think we’ll have another free weekend (like we had this past weekend) until 2023. Honestly, sometimes that feels very overwhelming to me, but I’m just taking it day by day when needed.

We’re kicking off November with Breeder’s Cup this weekend.

Here are a few pics from the last time Breeder’s Cup was in Lexington in 2015! We can’t wait to see so many of our friends and spend the day at the races.

Reading:

I just started The Things We Cannot Say, and so far, I think it’s really good.

For the first time ever, I didn’t finish a book on my Kindle before the library took it back! Ugh. I’ve placed a hold for The It Girl, and hope to pick up where I left off whenever it’s my turn again. I’m really hoping it’s not 6 weeks from now like the library predicts.

Also, I hope to read one, if not both, of the Christmas books I picked up last week.

What about you? What are you currently borrowing, buying, prepping, planning, or reading?

Prime Purchases: November 2022

Happy November 1st!

Wow, I feel like October went by in a blink. November is a busy month in our house, so I’m sure I will have the same sentiments about November.

I’m linking up with Tanya to share my Amazon purchases this month.

Here are my purchases this month:

Clothing:

I have this same light weight sweatshirt in black, and I also purchased it in light green. I wear both colors pretty often both with denim, skinny pants, or leggings.

I shared these mules in my Friday Favorites post last week. I think they are my favorite most recent find! I’ve worn them a few times to school and have gotten compliments each time I’ve worn them. The suede material is perfect, and I love the gray neutral color.

Fun fact: I only wear black no show socks when working out. I’ve had the same six or so pairs for years, and well, I’m not sure where they’ve all gone. Even though I don’t mix up our clothes when washing them, so many of my pairs have disappeared.

I purchased this ten pack of Hanes socks, and they are just what I needed to replace my missing pairs!

Health:

I swear my hair isn’t as thick as it used to be. It’s not obvious, but it is to me. I’m not sure if it’s a post-Covid thing or what. My hair stylist suggested mixing a few drops of rosemary into my shampoo when I was my hair, and that has helped some of her clients. I’ve been doing that for the past month or so. The only “issue” is that I only wash my hair 2-3 times a week, so I’m not sure that it’s helping much. I do love the scent of rosemary, so I’m definitely going to continue doing this.

That being said…

…She also suggested a scoop of collagen. I’ve seen many people suggest this brand, so I thought I’d give it a try. I know loss of collagen is definitely something that happens with age, so I’m hoping that putting a scoop in my coffee in the morning will help all the things.

Over 195,000 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 star reviews

Lastly, I’ve started incorporating a new Beachbody program into my workout routine. 4 Weeks for Everybody with one of my favorite trainers, Autumn, is a great low impact program. I do one or two of those workouts a week, and needed a stability ball.

Almost 9,500 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 star reviews

This was another relatively light month of purchases for me which is probably needed considering how many things I will probably buy in November and December.

What have you purchases lately? Happy Priming!

Happy Halloween

Hello and Happy Monday!

What’s scarier than a Halloween on a Monday?! Yikes!

Today’s post is all about Halloween fun with these two graphics I found on Pinterest (c/o @acaracollective). I’ll share them on Insta today. Let me know your answers!

Halloween Favorites

  • Candy: It’s hard for me to resist chocolate…especially a small Snickers or Butterfinger.
  • Movie: We always try to watch It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. While it’s not a movie, it’s a favorite. On Fall Break, we watched The Addams Family which was fun.
  • Costume: I’ve shared before that my favorite costumes the kids chose were when they were Batman and Robin. So cute.
  • Activity: Our favorite fall activity is going to the pumpkin patch. For quite a few years, we’d go to Transylvania University here in Lex to see all the pumpkins lit up. Covid changed that, and then we haven’t been able to make it there the past couple of years.
  • Character: I don’t know that a ghost is a “character,” but he’s cute!
  • Tradition: I love our pumpkin carving tradition.

This or That:

  • Trick or Treat: Definitely treats…no tricks!
  • Not so spooky movies or scary movies: I guess I’m a scaredy cat…I prefer not so spooky movies.
  • Apple cider or PSL: I used to love PSL, but now I prefer a lighter version. Apple cider is good, but I prefer it hot.
  • Pumpkin patches or haunted houses: Pumpkin patches all the way!
  • Buy a costume or make a costume: Buy a costume, for sure. Thank goodness for Amazon. I do remember my mom making a few of our costumes when I was a kid. Then again, Amazon didn’t exist!
  • Craft or carve a pumpkin: We love to carve pumpkins.
  • Trick or treat or pass out candy: Well, sadly, I’m back to the passing out candy phase. I do love seeing little kids in their costumes though. I just feel like walking around with my kids went by in a blink.
  • Chic decor or spooky decor: I prefer chic (cozy) decor to spooky. My kids wish I’d make our outside more spooky, I’m sure.
  • Candied apples or caramel apples: Caramel apples are so good…but too much work to eat. I love caramel apple suckers.
  • 13 nights of Halloween marathon or your own movies marathon: Make your own movie marathon, for sure. I wish we had more time for movie watching.
  • Early night or late night: Early night is my preference. Trick-or-treating is from 6-8 and on a school night…so hopefully we’ll all be in bed at a decent hour.

I guess since the kids are full on middle schoolers, our Halloweens definitely look different now {sad face}

I hope everyone has a great Halloween!

Friday Favorites {#133}

Hello! Well, it’s finally Friday. We’ve had an action-packed week, and yesterday was a doozy of a day at school; I’m definitely ready for the weekend!

As always, I’m linking up with Andrea and Erika for this week’s Friday Favorites.

Here are some favorites from the week:

Hayden’s back on the basketball court, and it’s fun watching him play. I’m sure he doesn’t think it’s funny, but it’s interesting to watching him after to get back in “basketball shape.” There’s a difference in running 30+ miles a week and sprinting up and down the court. haha

A few spooky decorations out front always help make the porch a bit more festive for Halloween.

I’m glad I took this photo on Sunday. Almost all of our beautiful leaves are now on the ground. They usually hang on until around Halloween, and then the trees are bare.

Hadley and friends had a fun Saturday night out on the town.

I bought a new pair of mules a couple of weeks ago, and I love them. They are suede and I bought them in gray. I remember having a black pair my first year teaching over 20 years ago…things really do come back in style!

The weather cooled off a few days this week, so I wore them a couple of times. I’ve had this tank for a couple of years (I have a black one too), and it’s perfect to put on under sweaters and sweatshirts. I loved this outfit that I wore one day this week. Comfy and trying to be stylish!

Last week, I made Lasagna Cups using Wonton wrappers and had half a package leftover. Last night, I made these Chicken Bacon Ranch Wonton Cups, and they were a hit.

Speaking of dinners…a favorite meal of ours this time of the year is our Halloween meal.

We haven’t had our “Spooky Dinner” yet. I wish I’d thought to have made it last Sunday when we carved our pumpkins. So, I think we’ll have “bloody fingers” and “brains” for dinner this Sunday.

…or I might make “Mummy dogs”

Favorite Mom Meme:

*Sigh* I always had to give my kids a deadline to not change their minds once I’ve purchased the costume.

Bonus Fave: Flashback Friday:

I probably share this every year, but this was my favorite costume duo that the kids chose to be in 2013. Hadley as Robin to Hayden’s Batman.

Also, I clearly remember Hayden perusing the Toys R Us magazine in 2012 as he looked for birthday ideas. Those pinchy cheeks are too cute.

Weekly Recap:

Here are my posts from the week:

What are your weekend plans? I’m so excited for a Girls Night tonight! Heather McMahan is coming to town, and you know I’m not going to miss that! The kids are busy with a few Halloween and school activities this weekend too. ‘Tis the season!

I hope you have a great weekend.

Thanks so much for reading,

Monthly Musings

Happy Thursday!

It’s the last Thursday of the month, so I’m linking up with Holly and Patty for Monthly Musings.

This month’s topic is:

I always love this link up, but I especially love talking about Thanksgiving! #turkeytalk

1. Do you host Thanksgiving or go elsewhere?

We go elsewhere. I hosted Thanksgiving one time a long time ago, but that was a random occurrence. We usually alternate between Thanksgiving and Christmas in KC. When in KC, we go to my dad’s cousin’s house. When we stay in Kentucky, we go to Trav’s aunt’s house.

Thanksgiving 2020, we stayed closer to home and had Thanksgiving with my brother and his family.

2. What dishes do you make or contribute?

Well…we’re usually off the hook because we travel. Whichever Thanksgiving we go to, there’s always so much food. The year we celebrated with my brother’s family, my sister-in-law and I split up what we made. A quick short cut was Bob Evans mashed potatoes!

Last year, I did contribute this salad to our KC Thanksgiving…

3. What is your favorite Thanksgiving recipe?

I always look forward to green bean casserole for Thanksgiving and Easter. I do feel like that’s more of a Southern staple, so it’s usually only something I get if we go to Trav’s family’s Thanksgiving/Easter or if I make it.

Honestly, I always look forward to using the leftover turkey to make Turkey Rice Soup. We’ve made this the Friday after Thanksgiving since I was in high school.

4. What are your Thanksgiving traditions?

I love watching the parade on Thanksgiving morning.

If we are in KC, I love watching the Plaza lighting ceremony (and we try to drive through that part of town to see the lights on either at Thanksgiving or Christmas)

5. Stuffing or dressing?

Well, I would say “neither,” but Thanksgiving 2020, I did make sausage dressing and really liked it.

6. Pumpkin, pecan, or apple pie?

I always look forward to pumpkin pie. I’m not a big pie person, so pumpkin (cold with Cool Whip) is about the only one I’ll eat. I do like warm apple pie, but that’s not usually served at Thanksgiving.

7. Casual dining or set the table?

My dad’s KC cousin who hosts, always has the cutest table.

We always get a personalized chocolate turkey at our place setting.

That being said, my sister-in-law had a cute tablescape too in 2020!

Trav’s family’s Thanksgiving is a little more casual because there are SO many people.

8. Favorite beverages to serve with Thanksgiving dinner?

Honestly, we don’t make anything special for Thanksgiving, but my brother and sister-in-law had a fun drink prepared: apple cider, pumpkin vodka, soda water, and a cinnamon stick. It was so good. I brought the “flocktails” cups, so that was our fun bevvy that year.

(Hadley just had apple cider 😉

9. Do you Black Friday shop?

Absolutely not. I’m a Cyber Monday girl.

10. Holiday movies or football games?

I feel like football is always on the tv during our Thanksgiving festivities. I enjoy holiday movies, but that’s more for when it’s time to just hang out at home.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday (with the 4th of July a close second!) The month of November is always so hectic for us that by the time I make it to Thanksgiving, I’m really ready to relax and eat some good food!

What Thanksgiving traditions do you have?

October 2022: What I’ve Been Reading

Happy Wednesday!

I fell back into my three book average this month. I finished a book on the way to the beach, read a book while at the beach, and then finished one more book this month.

Today, I’m sharing those three books with you.

This month I read…

{As always, book summaries are from Goodreads…}

Smells Like Tween Spirit:

Summary:

Even with the cutthroat days of being Class Mom behind her, as a freshly minted mat mom of the Pioneer Middle School (PMS) wrestling team, Jen Dixon cannot catch a break.

This year, as her son joins the ranks of the PMS wrestlers, Jen faces mystifying new social dynamics with her trademark combination of reluctance and resigned acceptance. The sights and smells of her son’s wrestling matches are more than enough for her to deal with, but Jen also finds herself fully immersed in sports-mom competitiveness. These parents all seem perfectly unassuming until their kids start to wrestle, and then some become raging momsters.

Jen steels herself for the indignities of middle school life, but she cannot quite fathom the extents to which some kids (and moms) will go for the sweet taste of victory. Add to this some truly bizarre encounters with students from her spin class and deeper challenges managing her parents, and Jen has more gum than she can chew…and even her riotously funny one-liners might not get her through it this time.

Quick Thoughts:

I’ve read this entire series and really enjoy the books. The previous three books were relatable because the main character is Jen from KC…who is very sarcastic! {it could be me!} That being said, this book continued to be relatable because I am in the throes of tween life.

This book was so funny and Jen is so witty. Her relationship with other PMS Mat Moms, her work life/balance, and letters to the parents provide lots of humor and a good light-hearted read.

Summary:

When twelve-year-olds Kat Steiner and Blake O’Neill meet at Camp Chickawah, they have an instant connection. But everything falls apart when they learn they’re not just best friends—they’re also half-sisters. Confused and betrayed, their friendship instantly crumbles.

Fifteen years later when their father dies suddenly, Kat and Blake discover he’s left them a joint inheritance: the family beach house in Destin, Florida. The two sisters are instantly at odds. Blake, who has recently been demoted from regular nanny to dog nanny, wants to sell the house, while social media influencer Kat is desperate to keep the place where she had so many happy childhood memories.

Kat and Blake reluctantly join forces to renovate the dilapidated house with the understanding that Kat will try to buy Blake out at the end of the summer. The women clash as Blake’s renovation plans conflict with Kat’s creative vision, and each sister finds herself drawn into a summer romance. As the weeks pass, the two women realize the most difficult project they face this summer will be coming to grips with their shared past, and learning how to become sisters.

Quick Thoughts:

Have I ever told you that my all time favorite movie is The Parent Trap? The Hayley Mills version, of course! I added this book to my Goodreads list at the end of the summer, and thought I’d save it for summer 2023. Then, I realized it would be the perfect read for our Fall Break beach vacay. I checked it out from the library before we left and waited to read it with my toes in the sand.

Even better…the beach house that was left to Kat and Blake was in Destin, and I was reading this book while in the Destin area!

This book was super cute with some nods to the Parent Trap plot but it was also a classic Chick Lit book. I definitely recommend it!

Summary:

For the nearly nine million people who live in New York City, Grand Central Terminal is a crown jewel, a masterpiece of design. But for Clara Darden and Virginia Clay, it represents something quite different.

For Clara, the terminal is the stepping stone to her future, which she is certain will shine as the brightly as the constellations on the main concourse ceiling. It is 1928, and twenty-five-year-old Clara is teaching at the lauded Grand Central School of Art. A talented illustrator, she has dreams of creating cover art for Vogue, but not even the prestige of the school can override the public’s disdain for a “woman artist.” Brash, fiery, confident, and single-minded—even while juggling the affections of two men, a wealthy would-be poet and a brilliant experimental painter—Clara is determined to achieve every creative success. But she and her bohemian friends have no idea that they’ll soon be blindsided by the looming Great Depression, an insatiable monster with the power to destroy the entire art scene. And even poverty and hunger will do little to prepare Clara for the greater tragedy yet to come.

Nearly fifty years later, in 1974, the terminal has declined almost as sharply as Virginia Clay’s life. Full of grime and danger, from the smoke-blackened ceiling to the pickpockets and drug dealers who roam the floor, Grand Central is at the center of a fierce lawsuit: Is the once-grand building a landmark to be preserved, or a cancer to be demolished? For Virginia, it is simply her last resort. Recently divorced, she has just accepted a job in the information booth in order to support herself and her college-age daughter, Ruby. But when Virginia stumbles upon an abandoned art school within the terminal and discovers a striking watercolor hidden under the dust, her eyes are opened to the elegance beneath the decay. She embarks on a quest to find the artist of the unsigned masterpiece—an impassioned chase that draws Virginia not only into the battle to save Grand Central but deep into the mystery of Clara Darden, the famed 1920s illustrator who disappeared from history in 1931.

Quick Thoughts:

My Gma suggested this author to me. Most of Davis’s books were available to download on my Kindle, so I chose The Masterpiece. I really enjoyed the plot as it moved back and forth between the 1920s and the 1970s. The two main characters, Clara and Virginia were very different, and both had their own struggles. The backdrop of Grand Central Station both as an art school and then as a landmark was interesting.

I really enjoyed this book and this author. Next, I’m going to read The Address when I can.

Rating:

4.5 stars

What have you been reading lately? A couple of years ago, I only read Christmas/holiday books in December. Last year, I read one Christmas themed book in November to kickstart my holiday reading for December 2021, and I plan on doing the same thing this year.

I can’t believe next month when I share what I read, I will be the mom of two teenagers, Thanksgiving will be over, and we’ll be in full on Christmas mode. That’s just crazy talk!

Happy reading,

Fall Fun

Hello!

With our non-stop activities and going in a million different directions, we seem to have to “schedule” in the fun things.

One of the best things about October in Lexington is Keeneland. There’s no place like it in the fall.

Pre-kids, we’d go with friends a few times a meet and even tailgate beforehand…and go to dinner after! Obviously, life is more hectic now, but I like to go to the races at least once in the fall and the spring. It’s always fun to bump into friends and people that you know. Travis is there quite a bit for work, and sometimes I will tag along. When the kids were in elementary school, he’d usually pick them up once or twice and take them for the last few races. It’s just a fun thing to do especially when the weather is nice!

I shared a post all about Keeneland last spring…and here are a few pics with the kids…

through the years…

and now…

We were able to go to the last few races on Friday, and I’m so glad we made it work!

The first race we were there, Travis had the kids each choose a horse, and he placed a trifecta bet…

…and they WON!

Hadley actually had winners in almost every race…and they hit another trifecta too. Hadley said, “This is easy!” {follow us for more parenting tips…}

Keeneland has great food and some great people watching too.

We had a really great afternoon. While it was a short visit to Keeneland, it was a good one!

Other weekend fun:

On Sunday, Hadley helped me put out the cobwebs, spiders and skeletons.

Then, the kids carved their pumpkins. I will say that while it’s bittersweet how quickly they are growing up, I’m not mad about the fact they can carve their own pumpkins!

They both had a “vision” and executed the plan. I love this tradition, and I hope we can do it every year.

When I shared my Pumpkin Everything post a couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that I wanted to try the Slow-Cooker Pumpkin Cake that I’d saved on Pinterest.

I added the ingredients to my Clicklist order this weekend, and made the cake on Sunday.

I followed this recipe…

Ingredients:

Mix and put in slow cooker…

Serve with a dollop of Cool Whip on top. We all enjoyed some after carving pumpkins on Sunday night.

It was so good! Now I’m thinking this is a fun way to make a cake without having to worry about the oven!

What are some of your favorite fall activities where you live? I’m so glad we made sure to get in a couple of our traditions this fall.

Tomorrow, I’m sharing the books I read this month.

I hope you have a great day!

Monday Memes

Hello! I can’t believe it’s already the start of a new week. Our weekend flew by, and it was busy. Yesterday was so busy that I sent my family a note from my phone with a schedule for the day…which no one followed. I love that for me.

Anyway…with October wrapping up, I’m sharing some of my favorite memes from the month.

A few Halloween / fall memes:

1.

Yikes! Unfortunately, sometimes this one is relatable…

2.

I know people either love or hate candy corn. I like a few pieces when it’s mixed with peanuts. I haven’t really bought any this season.

3.

I was just recently asked my favorite Halloween candy, and I said Reese’s pumpkins. I know they taste the same, but I always buy myself a few pumpkin and Easter egg ones when I see them at the checkout at the grocery store.

4.

I’m always amazed how crowded the pumpkin patches are every year. I will say when we went last week, it didn’t feel as crowded as usual.

A few other memes…

5.

Why is this one so true?! I literally never know what to do.

6.

I’m actually not too bad at recognizing people, but I struggle with names sometimes…especially after just meeting someone. Why am I this way? haha

7.

I literally live for coffee. I’m not sure anyone would want to be near me without caffeine.

8.

This one made me LOL because it is one of the reasons we don’t belong to Costco or Sams. I spend enough money at Kroger and Trader Joe’s!

Which meme was your fave?

We have another busy week on tap, but I’m just going to take it day by day.

I hope you have a great week!

Friday Favorites {#132}

Happy Friday, y’all! How was your week? I’m definitely ready for the weekend… I can tell you that much!

As always, I’m linking up with Andrea and Erika for this week’s Friday Favorites.

This week’s favorites are just my favorite(s) of each day. I’m trying to take a moment to look at the little and big moments of each day.

Saturday:

As I shared in Monday’s post, Hayden had state cross country on Saturday. It’s hard to believe that his second middle school season is over. He’s ready to come back stronger and faster next year.

Sunday:

Sunday was one of my favorite days of the year…we went to the pumpkin patch!

Then, it was Hayden’s turn for the “you are special” red plate for the end of his 7th grade cross country season.

Monday:

On Monday, the temps cooled off significantly, and I was ready to dress for fall! I picked up this plaid flannel at Target and love it. It’s a high/low style, so it’s long enough to wear with leggings, but I wore it with jeggings to school. It’s definitely oversized, and I settled on the medium after the large seemed too roomy (I ordered both sizes and returned one). I didn’t realize when I ordered it, but it has pockets. Win, win!

Tuesday:

After school on Tuesday, I stopped by the library for a couple of books I had on hold. Like last year, I wanted to read at least one Christmas book in November before reading a few more in December. I decided to go ahead and request a couple and these were ready for me:

{Side note: please let me know of any holiday/Christmas book recs you have!}

Tuesday evening, Hadley joined Trav’s club season group for a run. I reminded her how cold it was outside and to dress warmly. She came out wearing sweats and said, “I look like Major!”

His “Majoriform” is definitely sweats and tennis shoes. He likes to keep it comfy 24/7.

Wednesday:

Wednesday afternoon, we were headed out the front door, and our trees stopped me in my tracks. The sun light was hitting them just right. I always love how beautiful the leaves are, but then I feel like they don’t stay on the trees long enough.

Thursday:

On Monday, I saw that Antique Candle Co. was offering 25% off their Tree Farm candle, so I went ahead and snagged it! It arrived yesterday. While I’m still savoring the days of fall, I know this will be a favorite scent in colder months.

Also…

Cross country photos came in this week. Trav’s brother took the team photos, and they turned out amazing!

And…I know this guy! Travis was interviewed on TVG. So proud of him.

Favorite Mom Meme:

Y’all this is a bone of contention at my house. Nothing drives me crazier than the cup upside down in the sink (I tell Hayden he’s like the Wet Bandits…this is his signature move!), the toilet paper roll on the counter, or the backpack in the middle of the floor!

Bonus Fave: Flashback Friday

OMG…this pic from 2012 is one of my faves. This was before Kroger Clicklist. The kids loved riding in the car shopping cart. My first stop would always be produce to pick them up an apple to snack on (of course, I’d pay for them at check out!). This kept them busy while I shopped as quickly as possible!

Do you know how many “Bless your hearts” I got while out shopping with these two?! I sure miss those days.

Weekly Recap:

I was a busy blogger this week. Here are my posts:

What are you up to this weekend? Travis will be working quite a bit, but the rest of us don’t have as much going on. A Saturday with no sports…what is this life? The same can’t be said about Friday evening and Sunday afternoon! We’ll make the most of the weekend, I’m sure.

Thanks so much for reading.
