Monday Memes

Hello!

I know I probably say it every month, but how is it already the last Monday of the month? Seriously, I’m always sad at the end of June and July. Well, maybe these memes will provide a laugh or two for you.

Before I get to the memes…

On Saturday, Travis and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. Talk about time flying!

I woke up to pretty flowers and a card. Per tradition, he wrote my name in bubble letters and got creative with the #18. haha

On Friday night, we went out to dinner. Hadley snapped our pic beforehand.

We had dinner at Jeff Ruby’s. I guess when Travis made the reservation, he made note that it was our anniversary. So, at the end of our meal, the waiter brought out dessert and snapped our pic. He actually took our photo with a camera and when he brought the bill, he had printed the photo and put it in a card with a note. Well played…bigger tip for him!

I also had him take one with my phone…

After dinner, we walked over to the Infinity Sky Bar at the Marriott for a night cap.

Moving on to the memes…this one is perfect for our anniversary…haha

I guess when we checked in we were there for our steak and sushi appointment!

I’m married to this type of person!

Maybe July will be my “do nothing” month…We’ll see.

When I logged in to my school computer last week, I was met with a similar alert and could definitely relate to this meme.

This happens to me sometimes…and even on the blog. I always cringe when I read my published post that has an error or two. It’s so much pressure being an English teacher…haha

I have to remind myself that the blog is a hobby and doesn’t always have to be perfect.

My kids are in summer mode…and while they’ve kept themselves pretty entertained, this almost applies more to every meal that they consume. They eat non-stop!

This one just made me LOL…and it’s true!

Do you follow Cat and Nat on Instagram? They are so funny.

Anyway, this one is true too! I tend to use the front right burner the most. What about you?

I hope you’ve had a great weekend! I have four more days of summer school. It’s been fine, but it will be nice to cross last week and this week off my “to do” list for the summer.

Thanks for reading!

Monday Memes

Hello and happy Monday. I’m happy to say that this is the last Monday that I will have to hear an early alarm clock for about 10 weeks!

How was your weekend? We had a pretty slow one compared to most weekends this spring. That being said, most of the time was spent getting caught up on home things like laundry, groceries, yard work and more.

Since next Monday is Memorial Day, today I’m sharing the memes that made me laugh this month.

*Warning* most of the memes focus on being a tired teacher or tired parent this time of the year…haha

1.

Righhhhttt?! And all the parents said, “Amen!”

2.

Bahahaha….ha!

3.

I feel this deeply:

4.

Also, we don’t really get the summers “off”…

5.

I know I bought two yearbooks…at least I think I did. I guess we’ll find out this week.

6.

My mom sent me this one…and it’s very relatable!

7.

I meant to share this one when I shared my Oaks post, but I forgot..

It was very appropriate for the first Saturday in May.

8.

This probably applies more to the kids than me, but it’s happened a time or two…

9.

I love when a meeting wraps up early! Even better…when an email is sent rather than having to attend the meeting…

10.

Is there anything better than a bowl of cereal? Sometimes that’s my dessert…and honestly, it’s about to be dinner this week because I haven’t been the best about meal planning and prep😆

Which meme was your favorite?

As the school year wraps up, it always feels extra hectic. I hope to post regularly this week, but if not, you’ll know why!

Hello and happy Monday!

How was your weekend?

We had a pretty good one….after we made it through the torrential downpour during Friday night’s track meet.

The rest of the weekend was spent running errands, and doing some things around the house. Both of the kids had fun with their friends, and I was able to watch some shows and read my book.

I probably say this every month, but I can’t believe this is the last Monday in April. So, I’m sharing some memes that made me laugh this month.

My friend sent this to me. She knows me so well 😆

This one really made me laugh. I always panic if we’ve run out of fast food napkins for the car.

I saw this one right after my school computer prompted me to change my password…and then told me my new one was too similar to my old one. There’s only so many passwords that I can remember.

Why does everything at the grocery store seem like it’s at least $5?!

Relatable:

LOL! Fun fact: if I’m home on a Friday night, I do like to watch Dateline.

This one feels so true. My bigger issue is the people who have a full load of groceries and do the self-checkout. I feel like that should be a 15 item or less situation.

Yes! My type A personality feels this deeply…

I hope these start your week off with a laugh or two! Have great day!

Hello and happy Monday!

How was your weekend? I spent most of mine at home, but I did go to a couple of Hadley’s volleyball games.

Did you catch my Saturday post?

Y’all …I am still sick. I can’t believe it. Friday afternoon I was feeling better and by Friday night, my throat was super sore and my body aches were back. I barely slept that night. I went back to the doctor on Saturday morning because I assumed I had strep. She didn’t retest me, but said my throat and ear looked infected. She gave me antibiotic and steroid to cover all the bases. I’m frustrated because I feel like I got “behind” on whatever this was. Had I gotten meds on Thursday, I think I’d be back to feeling better.

Also, my family won the lottery —because I currently have no voice!

Anyway, moving on to today’s post.

Here are some memes that made me laugh recently:

1.

I sent this to my friends, and we all had a chuckle.

2.

Somebody check on Travis 😆 I’m not the easiest patient. He did make me mac and cheese for dinner on Saturday night, but he got the “side eye” from me when he brought me my cup of Gatorade with no straw. What was he thinking? haha

3.

Us this weekend…because of course a volleyball tournament starts at 8am. That being said, Travis was the real MVP (what’s new?) and tackled the early games.

4.

Literally me.

5.

I’m the mom. If I leave a voicemail, it’s a long one. Also, when you call a doctor’s office and leave a message, do you repeat yourself? I always say my name, phone number, whatever I’m calling about …and then my name and number again. I’m sure this habit stems from pre-caller ID/cell phone days.

6.

*forties ….and relateable.

7.

On a recent group text at 10pm, a friend actually said, “Jen’s probably asleep already.” They weren’t wrong, and I replied back at 7am.

8.

This one just made me laugh.

Anyway, I hope you had a great weekend. We only have this five day week standing between us and Spring break!

Monday Memes

Hello and Happy Monday! Well, this weekend felt like a blur. I spent most of it in Cincinnati with Hadley at her first dance competition of the season.

I sure wish I had an extra day to get things done and rest a bit.

Anyway…

Did you catch my Share 4 Somethings post on Saturday?

Since it’s the last Monday of the month, I’m sharing some of my favorite memes.

I feel so “seen.” I do this all the time:

This is so true! I swear if we had land, I’d adopt twenty dogs!

I’m definitely an over-thinker.

9/10 I put on smarty pants…lol

This might be why this “season of life” has felt so challenging…Both at home and at school I fee like I’m forever on repeat…

I can definitely be a nosy Rosie 😂

I made sure to pick up this week’s groceries early Saturday before we left for Cincinnati. I was going to make dinner on Sunday night, but I was too tired…so we ordered Thai food. We hadn’t had that in forever, and I thought it sounded good.

I felt “guilty” for a minute because we never eat out on a Sunday, but then I let that go and cut myself some slack!

So this meme is timely:

With my current job, I don’t have to take attendance, but this one made me chuckle. I’ve definitely been there…

Just a few memes to start your week. What was the highlight of your weekend?

Hello and Happy Monday!

How was your weekend? Like I mentioned earlier, we had a bonus day off on Friday, so our three day weekend was just right!

…and last night we cheered on our Chiefs and we’re excited about the victory!

Did you catch my weekend posts?

I joined the Share 4 Somthings link up on Saturday, and then I shared a Bloganuary post yesterday.

Since it’s the last Monday of the month, I’m sharing some memes that made me LOL recently.

Starting with…

January has felt like a really long month!

This meme is perfect given our Friday “snow day.” I do remember as a kid and even the first half of my teaching career looking for our school district name scrolling on the bottom of the tv screen.

This one is definitely relateable:

Bahaha…this is definitely Travis and me. He worries about very little, and I like to worry about all the things.

I sent this one on a friends group text and we all laughed.

Fun fact: I hate mayo. If a food has mayo on/in it, I won’t even try it. There’s probably a few dips I eat that have mayo in them that I don’t know about…if so, don’t tell me. That being said, I don’t know if my kids have ever even had mayo because since I don’t like it, I don’t buy it.

See, this three day weekend was perfect. We had equal parts lazy, productive, fun and prep for the week ahead.

This year, I feel like I’m back in a lunch groove. I really hate thinking about lunch. So far this year, I’ve pretty much just committed to splitting a bagged salad over two days (and bringing fruit and some chips) and then meal planning/prepping one other lunch to eat for three days. It’s worked for me because I’m eating something new every week, but only making it once. If we have dinner leftovers I can take even just one day, that’s a bonus!

Bahaha! Like what? How was 30 years ago 1992? Crazy enough, that means I was in middle school then which is the age my kids are now!

I hope at least one of these started your week off with a laugh or two.

Blogging note: Some months I might move to “Monthly Memes” now that I have Prime Purchases and Not Just a Mom on two Mondays a month. That only leaves one Monday for Hello Monday if I do memes on Mondays too. We’ll see.

Anyway, I hope you have a great start to your week.

Monday Memes

Hello and Happy Monday! I can’t believe it’s the Monday before Christmas. We’re definitely in full on break mode which makes for the best kind of Monday.

The month wouldn’t be complete without a few laughs thanks to some memes.

To keep it festive and fun, all of these memes are holiday related.

My aunt sent this in a group text, and I literally LOL’d.

Haha…truth!

Actually, this meme has probably been true for at least the past couple of weeks…

Classic Christmas with Nutcrackers.

Well, this is actually close to true…but I know how it goes with chocolate Advent calendars.

Me…yesterday. (I’m very behind on my Christmas movie viewing…so my goal is to watch at least one Christmas movie a day this week. Yesterday, I watched The Noel Diary on Netflix.)

Of course, the kids sleep in a bit later now that they are older, but even when they were little, I’d set an alarm to get up early and have that quiet time before they woke up.

I sent this one to a few of my friends. I try to be the gift that keeps on giving 😉

Food for thought. haha

I think I see this one every year, and it’s funny.

So, these are a few of my faves! I hope you have a great week full of holiday fun.

November Memes

Happy (Cyber) Monday! How was your Thanksgiving? I hope it was a great one. I didn’t realize how much I needed five days at home until I had them! Somehow, I’m still struggling on this Monday morning, but at least I’ve had a bit of downtime to get me energized for these next few weeks of school.

Since it’s the last Monday of the month, I’m sharing some of my favorite memes with you!

Tis the season…

In honor of Black Friday/Cyber Monday, I’m sharing these first few because I thought they were funny:

Relateable…haha

I don’t do Black Friday. I’m all about online Black Friday or Cyber Monday…for many reasons…including these:

…and this:

I know this hits home for most:

I’ve purchased a few things, but today is the day I make a big list and try to knock out most of my shopping.

This one made me laugh. I’ve always thought it would be fun to receive a new car as a surprise, but I think most people do talk over major purchases with their significant other.

Other LOL

My friends and I have shared this one on a group text, and it’s so true! People need to appreciate how grumpy/mean I could be.

1, 2, 3…goals!

Homer thinks he has a right to all food in this house.

This is kind of me. It’s especially me in the morning before school! I can usually get ready pretty quickly, but I’m always rushing in the mornings!

I feel seen!

I hope you have had a wonderful Thanksgiving break and that your week starts off on the right foot!

Monday Memes

Hello! I can’t believe it’s already the start of a new week. Our weekend flew by, and it was busy. Yesterday was so busy that I sent my family a note from my phone with a schedule for the day…which no one followed. I love that for me.

Anyway…with October wrapping up, I’m sharing some of my favorite memes from the month.

A few Halloween / fall memes:

1.

Yikes! Unfortunately, sometimes this one is relatable…

2.

I know people either love or hate candy corn. I like a few pieces when it’s mixed with peanuts. I haven’t really bought any this season.

3.

I was just recently asked my favorite Halloween candy, and I said Reese’s pumpkins. I know they taste the same, but I always buy myself a few pumpkin and Easter egg ones when I see them at the checkout at the grocery store.

4.

I’m always amazed how crowded the pumpkin patches are every year. I will say when we went last week, it didn’t feel as crowded as usual.

A few other memes…

5.

Why is this one so true?! I literally never know what to do.

6.

I’m actually not too bad at recognizing people, but I struggle with names sometimes…especially after just meeting someone. Why am I this way? haha

7.

I literally live for coffee. I’m not sure anyone would want to be near me without caffeine.

8.

This one made me LOL because it is one of the reasons we don’t belong to Costco or Sams. I spend enough money at Kroger and Trader Joe’s!

Which meme was your fave?

We have another busy week on tap, but I’m just going to take it day by day.

I hope you have a great week!

Monday Memes

Hello! How as your weekend? We had a great one. We took it easy on Friday night because Hadley was still sick, and then Saturday was great because we didn’t have much going on. Hayden had cross country practice, I picked up groceries, and ran some errands. Travis and the kids went to the UK game on Saturday night. Sunday, we went to my nephew’s flag football game and then had the first batch of chili of the season for dinner.

That was just a quick recap of the weekend, but today’s post is all about a few laughs. Believe it or not, this is the last Monday of September (how is that possible?!), so I’m sharing some memes that made me laugh this month.

1.

This meme is very timely. I will say though, for once the weekend didn’t feel super quick. That’s probably because we didn’t have much we “had” to do on Saturday.

2.

haha!

3.

Too relatable 😬

4.

A candle (at least!) in every room…

5.

I’ve never really thought about it, but this is so true!

6.

This one really made me chuckle!

7.

Right?! We have Fall Break soon, and after that, it will be Halloween, the kids’ (13th!!) birthday, Thanksgiving and then Christmas.

8.

I’ve always done that. It’s always so satisfying crossing things off the list.

I hope these have started your week off right! See you back here tomorrow.
