Friday Favorites {#319}

Hello and happy Friday!

How was your week? We’ve had a great start to November. I appreciated the the four day school week, the weather has been lovely, and we had a cozy rainy day on Wednesday.

As always, I’m linking up with Andrea for this week’s Friday Favorites.

I have lots of favorites to share this week…

I shared this in my post on Saturday, but Hadley kept our pumpkin carving tradition alive when she carved her pumpkin last Thursday night. Pretty cute pumpkin!

Hadley had lots of fun with friends on Halloween night. She was a deer! Hayden was there too, but no costume and he’s not a fan of photos. haha

I’m so thankful that I took this pic of our pretty front yard tree because now all the leaves are on the ground. Actually, the leaves are typically on the ground by Halloween, but we got an extra week of this lovely sight…the rain yesterday, knocked off the rest of them.

My phone camera never does it justice, but when I walk into the kitchen, I love this view into the office. It’s oh so pretty.

Travis and Hayden had lots of fun on Breeder’s Cup Saturday. One of Trav’s clients placed a huge bet and let Hayden hold the ticket. That’s more risky than the bet! Unfortunately, the outcome of the race wasn’t what they needed for a winning ticket, but they had a great day.

Monday night, we visited Travis at the horse sale. The first few nights always have big sellers, and it was a fun atmosphere. The kids have been to horse sales, but not for a few years, so he had fun showing them around and introducing them to people.

This horse sold for $5 million…what a sight to see!

Tuesday was a lovely day off from school. The weather was perfect, it was nice to not set an alarm, I had time to vote, and did a couple other things that I didn’t get to on the weekend.

I did go to one of my favorite local boutiques on Tuesday. I just hadn’t been in a while, and I wanted to take a peek. Well, I couldn’t say no to the cute ghost icon glass that was 50% off, and these little holiday matches were too precious to pass up.

I was so sad when I read about Susan St. James passing away. I loved the show Kate & Allie, and last weekend I wondered if it was streaming anywhere…yes! Amazon Prime to the rescue. I’ve watched seven or eight episodes over the past week, and it’s just such a fun stroll down memory lane. I always thought Kate was so chic!

On Sunday, November 1st, I used the cute $5 Christmas tree mug that I found at Target. I paired it with a Dunkin Donut pumpkin donut…so good!

There’s a little tree in the bottom. So cute, right?!

On Sunday, I also posted my November book trackers to Instagram. They are saved in a highlight…feel free to use and tag me. I always love seeing what others are reading.

Y’all, I’m the most excited to share this purchase with you. I was “targeted” by an ad from Epic Reads, and I purchased this advent book…you read a chapter a day starting on December 1st!

See…the chapters are secured, and you open and then read a new chapter for twenty five days.

I don’t want to rush November, but I truly can’t wait to start reading. It could be the worst story ever…who knows…but I will find out next month!

Bonus Fave: Flashback Friday

This Facebook memory from 2018 popped up on my feed this week. It’s the same horse sale that we went to on Monday, and Hayden was enthralled…he even picked up one books and followed along as the horses sold. Actually, he did the same thing Monday night. While Hadley and I walked around a bit, he sat in the sales ring with the book and followed along.

Share Our Lives:

Monday, we have our Share Our Lives link up, and this month’s topic is how we express gratitude. We’d love to have you join us!

Weekly Recap:

Here are my posts from the week, including two from last weekend.

I hope you have a great weekend! Tonight, Hadley and her friend are having a joint birthday party, so I’m going to help with that. We’ll see where the rest of the weekend takes us.

  1. I love mugs like that with a surprise inside. Our leaves have been slowly falling but I woke up to a thunderstorm this morning so I’m thinking today’s rain might bring the last of them down. I hope the advent book is good. That is such a cute idea!
