Hello and happy Saturday…and Happy Halloween!

It’s the last day of the month, so I’m taking a look back on all we did in October.
Ahh…look at this quote I saw on Instagram yesterday…I saw it just in time to use it for this October post!

October started on our fall break trip to Florida...(we had so much fun!)

…with a pit stop at Dolly’s Travel Stop on the way…

Hayden had lots of fun in Arizona visiting his cousins…

Lots of time was spent at Keeneland…

…and UK football games…

The Major came to visit…

Hadley went to Homecoming #2…

…and I “leaned” into all my favorite seasonal things for my favorite month…iced coffee, pumpkins, mums, and more!

I enjoyed watching the leaves on our front yard tree change colors. It’s been two years since we had the bad storms blow through and we lost one of the trees. Of course, there are now less leaves to rake, but I do miss the beauty of both trees. That being said, by now, all the leaves are usually on the ground. I guess since we really haven’t had rain, they all haven’t been knocked off. I bet by this time next week, all the leaves will be on the ground.

This week, Hadley kept the pumpkin carving tradition alive.

She carved, and I served up “bloody finger” hot dogs and “brains” mac and cheese per her request.

Tonight, the kids have plans, and we’ll be home passing out candy. It’s hard to believe how quickly October flew by! We did so many of our favorite things, and for that, I’m grateful.
Happy Halloween!
