Hello and happy Wednesday!
I enjoyed my day off yesterday, appreciated the time to vote, and also ran some errands and completed some tasks that I’d put off this weekend.
It’s the first Wednesday of the month, so I’m linking up with Amy for Currently.

This month’s prompts are currently saying “no” to, thanking for, eating/drinking, cozying up to, watching/reading…
I’m currently saying “no” to (No-vember)…

I know that sounds negative, and honestly I don’t think I say “no” a lot, but right now, I’m kind of in a season of letting others experience things. I’m a homebody after all! For example, we have two tickets to the UK football games (we can always get more), but right now, we often let the kids use them because they have so much fun with their friends.

Last weekend was Breeder’s Cup, and this year it was at Keeneland. Travis always goes, and I typically go with him one of the days, but on Saturday, Hayden expressed interest in going, and I thought that would be such a good experience for he and Trav to have together. They had a great time, and I was able to spend my Saturday doing things I needed to get done, but also having some downtime.

We’re currently rearranging our Thanksgiving/Christmas rotation to make things work for our family right now and what makes the most sense for us. Thankfully, everyone is understanding and go with the flow, but I never want to disappoint anyone.
Also, once a month, our admin organizes a Friday after school outing, and I usually say no. It’s not what I want to do after school after a long week. I’m so fun, right? lol
I’m currently thanking for…
A beautiful Tuesday off from school yesterday. I was able to sleep in a bit, read, run errands that I didn’t get to this weekend, and of course…vote!

I’m currently eating/drinking…
Y’all, meal planning has been a bit more difficult lately just because I never know who is going to be home.
On Sunday, I did make Bev’s Chicken Chili, and it’s always a hit! Bonus – I’ve had it for lunch the past couple of days.

Last night, I made the “Trader Joe’s” chicken pot pie. Have you seen this three ingredient recipe?
You buy two packages of shredded rotisserie chicken, two cups of the cheddar broccoli soup, and then a can of biscuits. You bake it for 25 minutes on 375 degrees. When I went to TJ, they were out of the soup, so I picked up some at Kroger.

It was a quick and delish spin on one of our favorite meals to eat!

I’m currently drinking my coffee out of a Christmas mug…please don’t judge…I also ate a pumpkin donut with it! #balance

I’m currently cozying up to…
Homer! He’s a great snuggle bug…

I’m sure you know cozying up to a good book is one of my answers, but I’ve also been “cozying” up to some coloring books. I’ve shared quite a few times how much I’ve gotten into coloring. Some of my favorite books and markers are linked in my Amazon Storefront if you’re interested!
Travis jokes with me if anyone has commissioned my work! Time will tell, ok?!

I’m currently reading and watching:
Yesterday, I finished The Restaurant and it was a good, quick read. I like the sisterhood of the main characters and the Nantucket setting.

Now, it’s time to start my book club book. I’m co-advising with another teacher, and the students chose:

We meet in a couple of weeks, so I better get to reading!
I’ve been loving this season of Dancing with the Stars…The talent is amazing!

And…I’m on season 4 of Ted Lasso which has been a fun update from the first three seasons.

What have you currently been up to?

Your coloring is lovely! Alec came home to vote (and pick up/drop off a few things) last night and was telling me all about Dancing with the Stars. Apparently lots of people get together in the dorm to watch it together and are having so much fun with it this season.
