Hello! Well, it’s finally Friday. We’ve had an action-packed week, and yesterday was a doozy of a day at school; I’m definitely ready for the weekend!
As always, I’m linking up with Andrea and Erika for this week’s Friday Favorites.

Here are some favorites from the week:
Hayden’s back on the basketball court, and it’s fun watching him play. I’m sure he doesn’t think it’s funny, but it’s interesting to watching him after to get back in “basketball shape.” There’s a difference in running 30+ miles a week and sprinting up and down the court. haha

A few spooky decorations out front always help make the porch a bit more festive for Halloween.

I’m glad I took this photo on Sunday. Almost all of our beautiful leaves are now on the ground. They usually hang on until around Halloween, and then the trees are bare.

Hadley and friends had a fun Saturday night out on the town.

I bought a new pair of mules a couple of weeks ago, and I love them. They are suede and I bought them in gray. I remember having a black pair my first year teaching over 20 years ago…things really do come back in style!

The weather cooled off a few days this week, so I wore them a couple of times. I’ve had this tank for a couple of years (I have a black one too), and it’s perfect to put on under sweaters and sweatshirts. I loved this outfit that I wore one day this week. Comfy and trying to be stylish!

Last week, I made Lasagna Cups using Wonton wrappers and had half a package leftover. Last night, I made these Chicken Bacon Ranch Wonton Cups, and they were a hit.

Speaking of dinners…a favorite meal of ours this time of the year is our Halloween meal.
We haven’t had our “Spooky Dinner” yet. I wish I’d thought to have made it last Sunday when we carved our pumpkins. So, I think we’ll have “bloody fingers” and “brains” for dinner this Sunday.

…or I might make “Mummy dogs”

Favorite Mom Meme:
*Sigh* I always had to give my kids a deadline to not change their minds once I’ve purchased the costume.

Bonus Fave: Flashback Friday:
I probably share this every year, but this was my favorite costume duo that the kids chose to be in 2013. Hadley as Robin to Hayden’s Batman.

Also, I clearly remember Hayden perusing the Toys R Us magazine in 2012 as he looked for birthday ideas. Those pinchy cheeks are too cute.

Weekly Recap:
Here are my posts from the week:
What are your weekend plans? I’m so excited for a Girls Night tonight! Heather McMahan is coming to town, and you know I’m not going to miss that! The kids are busy with a few Halloween and school activities this weekend too. ‘Tis the season!
I hope you have a great weekend.
Thanks so much for reading,

Yes to the chicken bacon ranch cups! I can lighten that up, too!
My kids used to circle the items in any mailer that came. They had so much fun doing that! Of course they hardly got any of it, but it was fun!
What a week! It was rough. Monday could be very rough and Tuesday could be either a skip day or just a low energy day for our kids!
I have stuff to make mummy dogs for Tom and I. Why can’t we still have them when it’s just us? Lol!

The cups were so good. I had three and figured very little goes in the cup, so they aren’t too bad. Yes to mummy dogs! I really like them too

That is true! I can’t wait to try them! I am excited about a real hot dog – it’s been awhile. And, I may just like Crescent dough more than a bun! I think Tom will laugh, too.

A spooky dinner is the cutest idea! I always struggle to figure out what to eat on Halloween before the boys trick or treat!

I think I’m making something in the crock pot for Monday because I’m sure my kids will be in and out. I’m hoping whatever I make provides leftovers for Tuesday haha

We plan on making those wanton lasagna cups this month and I just know we’re going to have lots of wontons left so I’ll definitely keep that chicken recipe in mind! Most of our leaves are on the ground now too.. I miss all that beautiful color!

They were so good. Turned out crispier than the lasagna ones. I will miss the pretty colors too.

The leaves on that tree are gorgeous! It’s a perfect picture with the sunlight right behind it. I love the comfy/stylish outfit you wore with the new mules! I love a longer shirt under a shorter one…it always looks kind of Bohemian to me, which is a look I always love. Hayden’s pinchy cheeks are precious! I love that he’s playing basketball again…I bet that is a huge difference. Good for him for giving it another go! I hope your day goes by quickly and that your weekend is great!

The sunlight looked so pretty that I had to take a pic. I prefer a tank of some sort under sweatshirts and sweaters. I’ve been so pleased with the mules. Thank you! The day is off to a good start 🙂
