Hello and happy Thursday!

I can’t believe the weather we’ve been having. I wish it was always low 80’s and no humidity! I hope the weather is lovely wherever you are.

Quite a few times, I’ve found inspiration for blog posts thanks to social media, and today I’m sharing my thoughts on a “red flag/ green flag” birth month post I saw and how it applies to me.

As the post says, “Nobody is all green flags, and nobody is all red flags. We all have traits that make us easy to love and traits that can drive people a little crazy. That’s what makes us human.”

I’m a January baby which means my sign is Capricorn. I’ve never really dug into what that means but a quick Google search shows that I’m highly responsible, patient, reliable, efficient, stubborn, self-critical, protect my values and can hold long grudges. Yep. That’s me.

Red Flags:

• Acts like they don’t care when they care the most. For sure! I’ve always done this. I think I do this to protect my feelings.
• Holds grudges longer than they’ll admit. I do want to say that I will give people a second chance more times than not. That being said, I’ll remember when a loved one or myself is “wronged” and won’t forget.
• Puts pressure on themselves to be perfect. I’m definitely the “type A” oldest child/ daughter who often strives for perfection. I will say that as I’ve gotten older, I know enough to know that I don’t need to strive for perfection, but I do want to do a good job!
• Rarely asks for help. This definitely applies to me, but now I’m to the point where I hope people know if I ask for help, I really do need it ….and it was probably hard for me to ask for the help.
• Can be emotionally guarded. Yes, for sure. Again, I think I just try and protect my feelings because I don’t want to get hurt.

Green flags:

• Loyal to the people they love. I love that I’m loyal. I’m definitely more about quality over quantity in relationships, and I’m very loyal.
• Shows up when it matters most. I always try and show up for those who need it.
• Strong, dependable, protective. I’d like to think that these apply to me.
• Gives practical support, not just words. I definitely can be a “do-er” and will help however needed.
• Loves deeply once you earn their trust. Again, quality over quantity in relationships, and I’m loyal, so I think those go back to wanting those things from others as well.
