4th of July

Hello and Happy Monday! I’m guessing most aren’t posting today, but since the 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays, I threw together this post of favorites.

This is our “go to” 4th of July breakfast:

Frozen waffles, Cool Whip, and fresh fruit. I’ve been serving it to the kids since they were little.

Easy and delish!

This meme is definitely me with the kids when they were younger. I’m that mom.

I love pinchy cheek cute kids in red, white, and blue.

My favorite 4th of July family photo…taken in 2015.

Sparklers are always a “must” on this holiday.

….as are fireworks!

We have a favorite spot in Lex to see some of the best fireworks in town.

Homer is usually pretty festive on the 4th as well:

I mean, of course he’s a patriotic pup!

What do you do for the 4th of July? Growing up, we always got together with family. Then, when I was older, I have wonderful memories of watching fireworks by the lake in our neighborhood. Kind of like driving through the Christmas lights at the park, I won’t miss a fireworks display!

I hope you have a wonderful day celebrating.

  1. Love your traditional breakfast! Did you see the star shaped mini waffle maker? Love all the pics! My hometown had a hydroplane race every 4th so we did all the festivities – parade, fireworks, hot air balloon glow and race, running race. We did it with our kids until elementary age, too. It was always so much fun. In Louisville, we don’t really have traditions and it just depends on what is going on that year.

    1. Hydroplane race? Fun! Sometimes we go to the Lexington parade…but just depends on the year. I haven’t seen that waffle maker! Hadley loves to use the mini waffle maker we have.
