Hello! How was your weekend? I’m still trying to get back in the swing of things post-vacation. I’m caught up on laundry, I’ve been to the grocery, and now I’m trying to get my life together with summer school session 2 starting this week, kids’ activities and more! Take me back to the sunshine and sand!
We had a lowkey 4th of July…Trav took the kids to the pool while I did the some laundry and grocery shopping. We grilled out and then watched fireworks from our favorite spot!

Bonus! Travis was (still) off work yesterday, so we went out to lunch to celebrate his upcoming birthday.
Today, I’m linking up with Tanya for this month’s Prime Purchases post.

Well, this month was apparently all about me! haha In preparation for vacation, I bought myself a few items. (and some goggles for the kids!)

First up is the midi dress. I actually bought it at the end of May, and wore it to Hadley’s dance recital. I know it’s something I will wear to school and a few other times this summer. Also, I think it can be dressed up or down which is always something I think about when spending “a little more” on an item. This dress comes in a few color options and definitely doesn’t disappoint!

Here we are at Hadley’s dance recital:

I’ve had this dress saved on my Amazon list, and I knew I wanted to order it before vacation. I love this dress so much. It’s great quality, flowy, and super cute. The embroidery flower detail makes for a more elevated feel, and this dress is so comfy and easy to wear.

Hadley got these faux Birks last year in white. She wore them all last summer and this summer as well. They’ve held up extremely well, and I had my eye on the rose gold version. That color has gone in and out of stock, so I jumped on it when I saw my size was back in stock. I will say that I typically wear a size 9 in shoes, but I ordered a 10 based off the recommendation of these slides that I ordered last year in white and then in pink this summer. The 10 definitely fits me perfectly.

Here I am last week in Charleston in the baby doll dress and sandals:

I always buy a few tanks in the summer, and I prefer the crew neck style. I ordered this one in blue and gray and they are perfect for wearing to the ballpark or even tucked into nicer shorts for a cuter summer look.

I often wear ball caps to the pool. I love a ball cap, but sometimes, on a hot day, I want the sun off my face, but I want my head to be able to breathe. (Does that make sense?) This visor hat has been perfect. A feature of the hat that I love is that it rolls up and has an elastic band to secure it together. That way, I just leave it in our pool bag when I’m not using it!

I’ve already shared a few favorite cover ups this summer, and then added this one into the rotation. It comes in a variety of colors, is lightweight, and I love that it is a little higher cut in the front than in the back.

Here I am at the beach in the visor and the cover up.

Last but not least, I purchased another two pack of goggles for the kids. No matter how many times I’ve told them, “if they aren’t on your face, they should be in the swim bag,” we still end up losing them. By “we,” I mean Hayden. These are great quality and Hadley even uses them for swim team.

I’m going to slow my Amazon roll for the month of July. I ordered Trav’s birthday present and a couple of things for Hadley for camp, but I’m going to try to treat July like a do January and give my debit card a minute to catch a break! Soon enough, I’m sure I will be ordering a few back to school items! Sigh…I don’t even want to think about that!
What have your Primed lately?
I hope your week is off to a great start!

I love everything! I want the babydoll dress in white but Iโm worried the chest area will be tight. How do you think it runs? I need that visor and I love the new coverup. Honestly those faux Birks are more comfy than the real ones. A metallic is so good to have! Iโm trying to cut spending in July, too, and these posts make it hard! Lol!

I got a large which was TTS for me based on bust size and it fits perfectly. I often have to buy things based on my chest size ๐คฃblessing and a curse! Haha Iโm LOVING the faux birks. Definitely glad I bought those. And, Iโm taking a little amazon break but know the last week of July, I will buy a few end of summer / school things ๐ฌ

O.k. thanks! I am leaning toward thinking the largest size would not work without it having any stretch. Yes, it is! I know I will have to, as well.

I love that babydoll dress. Both last yearโs and this yearโs sandals are so cute! I am trying to pull back on my shopping/spending this month too. Luckily we donโt do back to school shopping until August, so hopefully I can do it! Have a great week!

I was hoping to give my credit card a rest too but then realized I need to start ordering school uniform pieces. I think it’s so fun that almost all of your purchases were for you for vacation; I bet that hardly ever happens.
