How was your weekend? Ours was a busy but good one. Friday after school, I was in my pajamas as quickly as possible! Saturday and Sunday, Hadley had a volleyball tournament, but at least it was in town, so we didn’t have to travel. Saturday night was just what I needed after my 6:00 alarm; I binged Southern Charm and went to bed at a decent time. Thankfully, the Sunday volleyball call time wasn’t 7 am like on Saturday, and Hadley’s team played well!
We’re gearing up for a great week ahead.
Today, I’m sharing my February Amazon purchases.
I saw this meme and it made me laugh!
This month’s Amazon purchases can be put into two categories: “school” or “re-order.”
School:
My Expo spray for my white board was running low, so I turned to Amazon and saw these cleaning wipes. They’ve worked out great!
I’ve had a cute Golden Girls key chain for quite a few years, but if I don’t have pockets, I have to hold on to my keys when I leave my classroom. This Scrunchie key ring is cute and just what I needed.
I’m hoping this pack of sticky notes will get me through the rest of the school year.
I’ve ordered this colorful pack of small (5×8)notepads in the past, and they are my favorite. I keep a couple at home, one in my school bag and one in my desk drawer. They are the perfect size to use to jot down notes and makes lists.
Re-orders:
Well, I guess the note pads above are a re-order, but my other re-orders are beauty products including…
This brow wand that both Hadley and I use to fluff up our eyebrows.
…and this contour wand again. I have both as well, but I don’t use them as much as she does.
This is my second time ordering this “honey milk” to I use before putting on my facial serums in the morning and before bed. I guess I could buy the bigger one,but the $8 price tag for the smaller one that lasts me about a month has been working for me.
Another month, and another order of my favorite under eye masks. They help me start my day off right. I ordered another pack of these as well, but I typically keep them with my travel skincare. Since they are in individual packages, I like taking them to use and throw away as I go.
Do you have a Prime purchase that you often re-order?

Well, we’re on week two of two actual full weeks of school which means I’m back to packing my lunch. I’m sharing what I’ve been packing in my new Bento boxes.
While packing my lunch is still a dreaded task, I’ve been enjoying it a bit more lately and trying to find new lunch ideas. I’ve shared time and time again that I love a “snack plate” for lunch when I’m at home. The Bento Boxes are a way to take my snack plate to school!
I always save gift ideas on a few Amazon lists because I know when the holidays roll around, I need to share ideas with family members. I’d requested some Bento Boxes, but this set didn’t work out because the lids wouldn’t stay snapped on.
My first lunch was Dill, Sea Salt, and Olive Oil Triscuits (my fave!), cheese, grapes, prosciutto, rosemary almonds (my fave!) from Trader Joe’s, and some cottage cheese.
Once I realized those containers weren’t going to work, I ordered myself this set, and they’ve been perfect. The layout is a bit different, but they’ve been working out just fine.
Another lunch: Triscuits, cheese, a hard boiled egg, carrots and Ranch (the Ranch didn’t fit in the box), and my favorite sweet treat…a “Snack Select” from Aldi that has little bites of chocolate, dried cranberries, and graham cracker bites. Little squares of cheese also come in the pack, but I had those later.
On this day, I had a peanut butter roll up (tortilla), Babybel cheese, and cucumbers and Fritos (Trader Joe’s edition) to dip in Trader Joe’s Buffalo dip. I also packed a pudding for dessert in my lunch bag.
One day, I had salami, cheese and crackers from an Olli pack…adult lunchable. I put those things in the Bento box and then added in carrots, Chex Mix, and trail mix.
One day this week, I packed two turkey sandwiches on Hawaiian rolls, cottage cheese and carrots. Then, I packed some Girl Scout cookies…two Thin Mints and two Peanut Butter Patties. Did I need four Girl Scout cookies? No. Was it necessary? Yes…because otherwise, my family hogs the cookies, and they hardly last a couple of days in our cabinet! That being said, Hayden stopped by my room and ate one of the Thin Mints. See what I’m talking about?! haha
I’m loving my new lunch bag. I’d had the same lunch bag for eight years, and the time was past due for me to get a new one. Again, I had this one saved on a list as a gift idea, and it’s perfect. It holds so much, and I love that there’s a small zip pocket on one side and then a larger pocket on the other side.
Just this past weekend, I packed this full of snacks for our weekend in Gatlinburg for Hadley’s volleyball tournament, and it held so many snacks!
It comes in quite a few colors and patterns…and it has a 15% off coupon right now. (Just FYI!)
So, those are a few of my lunches lately. This week has been a bit different because we had a little chili pot luck yesterday with the teachers in my hall, and then we’re having a SOUPer Bowl soup/chili pot luck on Friday. So, I only have to pack a few lunches this week!
Well, this is the second month that I thought I’d post my Prime Purchases on the first Monday of the month like usual, but then never had time to hit “publish.” So, today, I’m sharing my Amazon purchases from January.
I’d seen this vest floating around in my Instagram ads, and finally purchased it when the weather was cold and snowy! I’ve worn it quite a few times, and I like that it’s heavy enough to keep me warm, but it doesn’t make me hot. I’ve also worn it in place of a coat which has been nice…especially when running errands or sitting at a volleyball tournament.
With my dry skin, I added this “honey milk” to my skincare routine. It’s been a nice dose of hydration before I put on my serum!
I ordered this Touchland pack with two hand sanitizers and one case. ‘Tis the season for all the germs, so I wanted to ramp up my hand sanitizing. I keep one in my desk drawer and then one, with the case, in my purse.
Both of these scents are so nice!
I replaced the Bento boxes I got in December as a gift because the lids wouldn’t stay on. These have been perfect…the compartments are just the right size, and the lids stay securely fastened!
I always use very subtle eye shadow, and I wanted to try this liquid eye shadow. I love it! This is such a pretty color and the application is easy. I’ve noticed that the eye shadow stays on a lot longer too.
When I’m not wearing these sunglasses, I’m wearing these black ones. Well, I misplaced them, so when I went to re-order them, I got the two pack. I love these light-weight sunglasses.
Travis heard me fussing and cussing a bit about the mess I was making trying to drain the cooked ground beef. He heard my cries, and ordered this clip on strainer! It’s been the perfect solution!
Hadley had a couple of orders this month including these hair clips…
…and this “octobuddy” for her phone. I knew these existed as a way to mount your phone, but I didn’t think about sticking things to the little octo feet. Now, I’ve noticed the teens sticking their Air Pods or debit cards to their phones this way. Such a cool little invention…
So, those were my purchases this month! What have you “Primed” lately?
{This post contains Amazon Affiliate links. Thanks for supporting my blog.}
Well, I had good intentions of sharing this post yesterday, but the weekend got the best of me.
We had a lot of harsh winter weather Sunday and Monday. We got about six inches of snow on Sunday followed by ice. Yesterday was another blustery day with additional snow. The kids did make the most of it going sledding with friends both days.
As of now, we’re out of school today and tomorrow. Yesterday was a teacher work day that got canceled. I never thought we’d have an extended winter break, yet here we are!
I was bummed when Tanya announced she was discontinuing her monthly Prime Purchases link up, but I still plan on sharing my purchases once a month…most likely on the first Monday. That just makes for easy blog planning.
Well, I have quite a few purchases, some of which were purchased in November. I just held off sharing them because I didn’t want to ruin any gifts for family!
Gifts:
When I was with my dad in July to help him after his knee surgery, I noticed that he really could use some new dish towels. He never asks for anything, so I just “book marked” that idea for Christmas.
I got him this pack of six kitchen towels. They are thick, great quality, and come in a variety of color combos.
He changes his sheets once a week, but only has one pair of sheets. So, I got him this set. Now, they aren’t his “My Pillow” brand that he loves, but these are great quality and had over 363,000 reviews, so I felt like they were a safe bet.
The Major gives his seal of approval!
My Gma requested a tumbler, and I got her this pretty light purple one by Owala. I’ve seen lots of people using this brand now.
Hadley needed a new winter coat, and this one was on her wish list. It’s puffer coat but not too thick. It seems like it’s a popular option on Amazon, and it comes in a variety of colors.
I put this face wash in Hayden’s stocking. To my knowledge, he is actually using it. haha.
Both kids needed new winter gloves, so I got Hayden the black ones, and Hadley got the gray ones. These were supposed to go in their stockings, but they were the one thing that didn’t fit..and they both came in slim boxes, so I just wrapped them for them to open.
Trav got an Apple watch recently and didn’t like the band. So, I bought him this pack, and it’s just what he wanted. This was a good stocking stuffer for him.
My brother came over a few weeks ago, and he was wearing these joggers. I needed one more gift for Trav and thought he’d like them. They come in a variety of colors. Trav has already worn his new pair a few times.
Have I mentioned Trav is hard to buy for?…and he always asks for the most basic things. He wanted a cotton long sleeve t-shirt, and one day after school, the kids and I went to Dick’s Sporting Goods to look for one. There wasn’t a single plan basic long-sleeved cotton T-shirt to be found!
Well, “OG” Russell Athletics and Amazon saved the day. Can’t beat the less than $9 price on these shirts. He was a good guy this year, so I sprung and bought him two different colors! haha
Trav’s mom needed a suggestion, and again, he had asked for a basic gray sweatshirt. I had seen some at Old Navy, but then I realized sending her one via Amazon would probably just be a lot easier for all.
I’d never seen the Stanley beer Stein, but I figured Travis would get some use out of it.
Other:
Last year, I got these same flats in black, and I still wear them all the time. I have two pairs of tan flats that I rarely wear, so I bought this pair that I knew I’d wear to replace those two. I’ve added them to my donation pile now that I have this pair.
My black ones are my usual size 9, but the tan 9 was too tight. I guess they fit, but I wasn’t convinced that I wouldn’t get a blister. So, I returned them and ordered the 9.5, and they fit much better.
These are truly a great flat that come in many colors. I have my eye on the leopard to replace my Walmart leopard pair that I’ve had for years.
We got this power strip for Trav’s side of the bed. He needed an easier way to charge his phone…and he can plug his watch in there too.
We throw a blanket on the bed for if/when Homer hops up there to sleep. We’ve used the same one for years, and it has holes in it. I’ve gotten a couple of these blankets in the past for the living room, so I picked up a light color one for our bed to replace Homer’s old one. This is a great blanket for $12!
Like most January’s, I try and take an Amazon break. That being said, I ordered a coat for Hayden that arrived just in time for all the snowfall. These teens, they hardly wear coats, so I never know they’ve outgrown one until the temps drop and snow falls. (Hayden’s coat was $50 when I ordered it…I’m assuming the price went up thanks to the winter storms sweeping the country!)
What have you “primed” lately?

Hello and happy Monday!…except now that it’s Monday, that means Thanksgiving break is over, and it’s time to head back to school. That’s ok because I actually like December at school. I feel like the weeks usually fly by as we wrap up first semester.
Speaking of “flying by,” how is it December?! I’m linking up with Tanya to share my recent Amazon purchases.
This month’s post has quite a few purchases thanks to the kids’ birthday and prepping for Christmas.
I needed file folders for school, so I bought this pack. So much of what we do is digital, but I still have plenty of hard copies to keep up with in my filing cabinet.
I loved my fall “Cozy Girl” coloring book so much that I purchased the Christmas version. It’s just as cute as the fall one.
Bummer! BOTH pencil trees that I have (but have had for four – five years) needed some help in the light department. I bought two packs of these hundred bulb strands to use on mine and Hadley’s bedroom trees. They worked perfectly for what we needed.
I’ve had these remote controlled outlets for quite a few years, and I purchased another pack because Hadley wanted one for her room. I’ll use the other two for our outside lights.
This set of three is truly so handy. From my original set, I use one for the Christmas tree in the living room, one for the set of trees on the chest in the living room, and then the last one for the tree in the bedroom. I just use the remote to click them on/off in the morning and then before bed at night.
Well, my life changed forever when this label maker arrived! I actually had it on my list as a suggestion for Christmas, but once I got out all my Christmas decor, and I have quite a few remote controls (like for the set above), that I wanted to get organized. I use the app on my phone and then it prints! I’ve been a labeling fool since it arrived!
Hadley requested these slides for her birthday. They are a great price and all the rage for teens!
Hadley also had this cute little cotton bag on her birthday list. The price is less than $9 and such good quality. I filled it with cosmetic things she uses which was a good refill for what she needed.
One of the things I put in her bag was this blush stick by e.l.f.
One of Hayden’s requests was this brush to clean his golf clubs. He’s really into golfing this year!
‘Tis the season for shopping…and finding good deals! I’ve purchased a few things via Amazon, but they are Christmas gifts. I never know who reads my blog, so I don’t want to give anything away!
It’s Cyber Monday, so I’m sure Amazon will have some great deals!
In case you missed my last “gratitude” post on Saturday, here it is.
Happy shopping,
{This post contains Amazon Affiliate links. Thanks for supporting my blog.}
How was your weekend? Ours was really good. As how the last few weekends have been…Saturday was busy and Sunday had a little more downtime to prepare for the week ahead.
It’s the first Monday of the month, so I’m linking up with Tanya to share my Amazon purchases this month.
This month, I had a few new things, but more than half of my purchases were repeat purchases.
Repeat purchases:
Hadley and I both still love the “Magic Wand” for fluffy and shaping our eyebrows.
A couple of weeks ago, I thought I lost my favorite sunglasses, so I ordered them again. Then, later in the week, I found my original pair. For less that $10, I think it’s good to have a couple of pairs of these.
Here I am wearing them at Keeneland a couple of weeks ago:
I’ve been using this same meal planner for a few years, and I only have to order it once a year. It sticks to our fridge, and it’s where I write what we have going on the for the week, what we’re having for dinner, and my grocery shopping list. I can’t recommend it enough!
I guess I probably share these under eye patches every month because there’s thirty sets of patches! I keep them in the fridge, and they are a part of my morning routine while I drink my coffee.
This is the third time I’ve ordered this retinol stick, and I use it morning and night. (It has a $3 coupon right now)
I shared that I ordered this blouse in blue last month and sized up just not knowing how it would fit.
Well, there was a “flash sale” on the blouse, and I ordered it in my regular size. Honestly, since it’s a flowy top, there’s not much difference in the fit. Once the weather cooled off a bit and I’m back to wearing pants a bit more often (bummer!), I realized I could use a few more work basics in my closet. This blouse comes in so many colors, and I know I will wear with them with jeans too.
New purchases:
Shay “influenced” me with one of her Saturday fall posts, and I ordered the “Cozy Girl” coloring book. Don’t be surprised if next month, I’m sharing that I purchased the Christmas themed one.
Of course, that meant I needed a set of markers, and these have been perfect for coloring pages when I can. Coloring is so therapeutic for me. I really think the coloring book and markers would be fun stocking stuffers or small gifts for tweens and teens.
Fun fact about Hadley…she knows how to order from Amazon. haha
She needed another charging cable, and ordered this “fast charging 10 ft” two pack.
I got a new phone last spring, and I’m rough on my phone…so I was in need a of new screen protector. I grabbed this three pack because I’m sure it won’t be the last time I need a new protector.
What have you primed lately?
Well, this Monday kind of feels like a weird one knowing we don’t have school tomorrow because of Election day.
I’m happy to have an extra day off, but I’m even happier to hopefully not receive any more calls and texts in regards to candidates and voting!
Also, hop over to my other post for the day as I’m continuing with the “gratitude challenge” for November!
{This post contains Amazon Affiliate links. Thanks for supporting my blog.}
It’s been a minute since I’ve shared some outfits, so I’m linking up with Kellyann and Jill for Fashion Files.
I decided to share some of my vacation outfits, although really I was mostly in PJs or swimsuit/cover up. Then, I will share my “back to reality” back to school outfits this week.
I will link what I can as some things are old and others might not be available any more.
The first day, I was at the beach for most of the day…from noon until 6:30 sunset.
I’ve had this hat for years, and I think I got it from Nordstrom. This purple guazy dress is a dress…but I’ve turned it into a lightweight cover up, and it’s one of my faves. I got it a couple of years ago from my favorite online boutique…Shop Style Your Senses. I’ve had my sunnies for quite a while, but I just lost them this week! They are from Amazon, so I just snatched up a pair….for less that $10 thanks to an Amazon sale.
Sunset pic on Tuesday of our trip, and I was wearing the same hat and another SSYS cover up, but this one is from their label. The terry cloth material is perfect, and I love the hot pink…especially when I have a bit of a tan.
On Tuesday, we got some breakfast in Seaside, and I was wearing my new Amazon set. It’s perfect to throw on and go.
Here it is before I walked out the door. My Lululemon crossbody purse is perfect for vacay as it holds a lot, but it’s not too big. My JW hat is from an Etsy shop, SoLillyDesignCo, and I got it earlier this summer. My fave flip flops are the Haviana brand from Nordstrom.
On the last night, we went back to Seaside for dinner, and I wore another SSYS label set. It’s a lilac color, and it’s one I wear often in the summer.
This is a pic from a few months ago, but I wore this exact outfit a couple of times. I love the SSYS scallop leggings, and the over-sized v neck t-shirt is their “air fabric” which is so soft.
One night, we always go out for an adult dinner, and I wore the “Gwen” SSYS dress that I got last summer. I love the vibrant colors, but it is a dress I feel like I “should/could” only wear on vacation, so it’s the perfect dress to pack.
I forgot to take a pic that night, but I snapped one as I unpacked the other day. These strappy Target sandals are still one of my favorite pairs to wear.
A few times on vacay and also at home, I’ve been wearing my new favorite waffle knit pants, and I’ve had this shirt from Amazon since the end of summer.
Now…back to school.
On Monday, I wore these linen pants and lightweight black sweatshirt, both from Amazon that I’ve had for a while. I got so many compliments on this outfit…(and my tan), that I figured it would be a good outfit to share.
These are my other favorite pair of strappy sandals, also from Target.
On Tuesday, I wore my new favorite blouse with some old black pants from Old Navy…and the same Target strappy sandals.
Yesterday, I wore a long sleeveless black dress that I got at Target years ago with my favorite Amazon cardigan and sandals.
Reality sure has hit this week!! Both with waking up and putting on real clothes.
What’s your favorite outfit?
{This post contains Amazon Affiliate links. Thanks for supporting my blog.}
Well, all good things must come to an end…it’s back to school we go after a week off for fall break!
It’s the first Monday of the month, so I’m linking up with with Tanya to share my Amazon purchases this month.
I had quite a few purchases this month:
First up is this over-sized t-shirt. It’s perfect to wear with leggings or wear as a sleep shirt.
I did a quick change after school before running off to a volleyball game.
I had this set saved on one of my Amazon lists, and I decided to order it before our fall break trip. It arrived right before we left, so I quickly tried it on and new that I loved it.
To me, it doesn’t look exactly like the Amazon pic because the sleeves (on me, at least) are regular length and don’t go past my elbows. Anyway, I wore it more than once in Florida, and it was perfect to just throw on and go. I got my normal size.
Last month, Tanya shared this blouse that I’d also seen and saved to a list. Well, once she shared it, I went ahead and ordered it. I sized up and didn’t need to, but I love it. It’s lightweight, flowy and forgiving.
I ordered these pants as something to wear year round with a tank, a t-shirt or a sweatshirt. They are so comfy and cozy, and I just love the pockets and the hem at the bottom. This is definitely something I might order in another color.
‘Tis the season for congestion and allergies. Travis ordered this “boom.boom” nasal stick three pack for the kids to use. These are great to clear up your sinuses!
You know I watch lots of volleyball games and track meets, and I’ve had the same chair for a few years, but wanted one with arms and a bigger back. An influencer I follow, @bobbiwiththeeye, shared her favorite chair when it was on sale, so I snagged it right up. It’s worth the full price too, but I was happy to get a bit of a deal.
I shared this flag in an earlier post, and it’s so cute.
It’s been the perfect update for the front yard.
Again, I ordered my “tried and true” eye mask that I use every morning. I keep them in the fridge, so they are nice and cool under my eyes. With a new pack, the first few seem to be extra drippy, but I always just rub the extra retinol on my face or neck.
Well, due to one of Hadley’s volleyball games, I had to miss one of my facial appointments. Since I missed my September dermaplane, I took matters into my own hands. These Tinkle razors were very easy to use. I think I can get a couple of touch ups out of each one. (Also, these say eyebrow razor, but they can be used on your face)
Last but not least, Hadley had one of these wallets on her phone, and has had it for a few years. It was stretched out and falling apart, so I got her another two pack before we left for our beach vacay. The last thing I needed was her losing her debit card in Florida!
I know tomorrow and Wednesday are big days for Amazon, so some of these items might even have a better price.
Happy Priming!
{This post contains Amazon Affiliate links. Thanks for supporting my blog.}
It’s the first Monday of the month, so I’m linking up with Tanya for Prime Purchases.
Here are my purchases this month:
Hadley:
I’ve shared my first two items in previous posts. Hadley had been coming into my bathroom every morning to borrow this blush...
….and my brow wand. Both are very affordable, so I went ahead and got her these for herself to use.
Hayden:
Of course, we have a few of these Gatorade water bottles, but Travis got Hayden this stainless steel one. It keeps the water extra cold, but I’ve told Hayden he’s in trouble if he loses it!!
Me:
Well, in my closet purge of the summer, I tossed a couple of my black t-shirts. Over the past couple of years, I’ve purchased this one in other colors, so I went ahead and got one in black to have that “basic” color in my closet again.
School:
Well, a few weeks ago, I shared this “back to school” post with some school faves.
Once we got back to school, I realized I needed a few more things like…
…dividers for the above binders, but I only ordered one pack. I realize now that I need to order a couple more.
Also, in my summer kitchen purge, I tossed Hadley’s thermos because she hadn’t really packed a lunch since 6th grade. Well, of course this is the year she wants to take her lunch, so I bought her the exact same thermos that I tossed. She’s been taking it with her Ramen in it.
Other:
Every once in a while, I buy a pack of birthday cards, so I’m not scrambling to buy one when the kids get invited to parties.
I ordered this pack, and I think Hadley will like giving these cards to her friends, and there’s probably a couple Hayden can use too if needed.
So, those are my purchases for the past month. What have you “primed” lately?
{This post contains Amazon Affiliate links. Thanks for supporting my blog.}
How has your week been? So far, we’ve had a good one but with a couple of late night! Today is like my Friday since we don’t have school tomorrow.
Anyway, with back to school, that means I’m actually putting on a decent outfit, applying makeup and not wearing my hair in a bun!
I captured my outfits from the past week or so, and I’m linking up with Kellyann and Jill to share those today.
On the first day of school, I wore one of my favorite dresses. The “Everyday” dress from SSYS which I paired with my favorite strappy Target sandals.
The second day of school is when I forgot to set my alarm, but I still pulled myself together. I wore this flowy floral dress and my big buckle Birks.
I also wore this dress to church on Sunday.
I forgot to snap a pic on Friday, but I wore jeans and school shirt. As soon as I came home, I threw on leggings and a sweatshirt before we went to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings.
Saturday morning, I was in my pjs until 11:00, and then I worked out. After that, I showered and put on this flowy guazy dress, my Air Maxes and a KC hat for our time in Cinci at Top Golf and the KC/Reds game.
Hayden said, “MOM! That’s not a baseball outfit!” But…this dress is light weight and got me through the afternoon and evening in the hot and muggy weather.
Sunday, when I went to run errands with Hadley, I wore my typical “momiform” of leggings and over-sized t-shirt. This is another one from SSYS, and it feels like butter.
Instead of wearing a ball cap like usual, I did throw on a headband to look a little more put together.
On Monday, we were to wear pink to school, and I wore one of my fave Amazon shirts, with white jeans and my Birks.
Shew! Tuesday was a long day, and I felt cute and comfy from 7:30 AM to 8:30 PM that I was at school. I had school, a meeting after school and then Hadley’s volleyball game, so it was quite the day.
I wore another SSYS dress with my other Target strappy sandals and fave Amazon cardigan (that I have in three colors!).
Yesterday, I had a hair appointment after school, so, again, I knew it was going to be a long day and I wanted to be comfy. I wore these joggers with the same black SSYS top from Sunday and sandals.
So, that’s what I’ve been wearing. I really liked everything I wore this past week. Which outfit is your favorite?
