Hello and happy Saturday!
It used be a rarity for me to post on the weekends, but today marks the 31st blog post I’ve written in January. Bloganuary was a fun (self-imposed) challenge for myself, and I do think writing a variety of posts helped with the writer’s blog block I sometimes feel!
I’m excited to link up with Jenn for Share 4 Somethings, which I haven’t done in quite some time.

The topics are…
Something I’ve loved…
Not to sound like a broken record, but I’ve loved quiet time at home this week. It’s been somewhat unexpected. We definitely get snow/ice and snow days, but this is the second year in a row we’ve had a week off a school due to the weather. Of course, I’m a bit worried how this will affect the end date of our school year, but I can’t control those things…so I’ve soaked in the down time and the quiet time while we’ve had it.

Something that has sustained me…
Coffee always sustains me. This week, I transitioned back to hot coffee after my iced coffee journey although I did get an iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts yesterday.

This week, Pilates has sustained me. Thanks to my at home schedule, I was able to pop into a couple of Reformer Pilates classes this week which I loved.

Something we’re carrying forward…
I shared this at the beginning of January…

….and I hope to carry forward these thoughts to February as well. I feel like we typically get January and February and then June and July to have downtime, but the summers have felt busier and busier as the years have gone on, so I hold tight to the quiet and cozy of these winter months.
Something we’re making space for…
After purging and organizing, I’ve made space for…quite a few things. That being said, I did some rearranging, and I organized my coffee mugs on shelves based on seasonal, favorites/everyday, and special/meaningful mugs.
I’ve now made space for a couple of new festive mugs for February:

Don’t tell Trav…haha!
He always wonders why we have so many mugs. Listen, coffee and mugs (and icon glasses!) make me happy. I could have a more expensive collection of things…like fancy watches, designer purses, or diamonds! You’re welcome, Trav!
Have a great Saturday!

Those new mugs are so cute!

I’ve started “collecting” mugs or drinking glasses on our trips. I figure they are more useful then knick knacks and they are something we use most days 🙂
Love how you embraced this last week – might as well enjoy in our circumstances, right??

My dad always collected coffee mugs, so maybe I got it from him. Haha
Yes – I decided to just embrace it but I know I’m lucky that I don’t have to go out / drive unless I want to.

I’ve loved reading all your January/Bloguary posts. I remember how great it was to have all that downtime last year. It was so nice to be home.
I’m the same – I don’t have designer purses but I love my mugs and glasses.
I think you had a really great month from where I’m sitting!
I can’t believe you got out so much and did pilates. That’s great!
It seems like the kids are doing well with driving? What a difference that makes for you and your routine.

It’s was a fun month of blogging and even personally/family stuff was a good month. We weren’t over scheduled. I went to Pilates again this morning…she doesn’t always have Saturday classes. Once life resumes to normal, I might not be back until summer. I’ve been out and about but haven’t traveled too far haha

I love that you made space for some new festive mugs! I read that and smiled, because I have a huge issue with having too many coffee mugs. I only use the same few, so why do I have so many? I also really enjoyed reading about the things that sustained you this month. Good on you for writing everyday this month! I love the practice of writing each day; it’s like free therapy for me. Enjoy your weekend and thanks for linking up with me today!

I agree – writing does feel like free therapy 🙂
I have a few “special” mugs that I rarely use but want to keep. They are meaningful, and I have a hard time getting rid of those kinds of things.

Good job with posting every day in January!
It sounds like you have had a lovely time being at home. Yum to the coffee! These colder months are a good time to rest and recharge.
The mugs did make me chuckle, I’ve been told I’m not allowed to buy anymore until I get rid of some of the old one’s. That will be a job for another time.

I did get rid of a few when I did a kitchen purge after the holidays, so I don’t feel too guilty haha

I saw that Costco is coming out with some icon glasses – fruit theme in a set of 4! Have you seen Athena on IG’s mug collection? I always feel a little better about how many I have when I see her open her cabinet! Have a great weekend.

I just bought cherries at home goods. I can’t be stopped 🤣 yes! Her collection is wild! But I get it and wish I had space for it! Haha

The mugs are cute! Yay for blogging every day this month, that is an achievement! I love the saying you shared, we do need to make space for quiet, and downtime, but also sunshine and walks, even in the winter (which I am not very good at, but the snow makes it harder). Have a great week!

Coffee always sustains me too 🙂 I love your new mugs. My husband is always teasing me about my expansive (NOT expensive!) mug collection and saying I have too many and don’t need any more. My response is kind of the same as yours – my mug collection is actually useful and certainly nowhere as expensive as other things I could collect.
Sorry I’m so late in commenting – I haven’t had a free night all week! Hope you’re having a great weekend!
