Share Our Lives: October 2025

Hello and happy Monday!

How was your weekend? Ours was pretty action packed with Homecoming festivities, and yesterday I needed the day to recuperate and get my life together.

Slow down, October! How is it already the second Monday of the month? That means I’m co-hosting the Share Our Lives link up with some of my favorite bloggers.

So far this year, we’ve discussed…

  • Saving time on chores in January
  • Tips for falling asleep in February
  • Day in the life, an average day in March
  • Creative outlets/free time in April
  • How do you spend your birthday in May
  • Unique things about where you live in June
  • Best vacation memory in July
  • How do you take a break in August
  • 5 things we do each season in September

This month’s topic is…go to snacks.

I love a snack! I always pack some kind of snack for school or stock up on a few items to have on hand at school.

My whole family loves Core Power protein drinks, and the chocolate one is my fave. I leave some in my classroom fridge, so I have one a few days a week at school.

Protein bars are another easy snack idea that obviously are a good source of protein. The Barebells bars are my go to, and I get them at Trader Joe’s. I will say that I usually just eat half a bar one day and then the other half another day. They just seem to be kind of filling for me.

If I really have my act together on a Sunday, I try to wash some grapes and put them in little baggies. The snack size baggies are perfect for this.

Another fave snack is apple and peanut butter. These individual Jif peanut butters are so easy and convenient.

I love Grab the Gold bars. Kroger doesn’t always have them, but when they do, I buy quite a few. Sometimes, I’ve seen them in gas stations, but not locally.

I’m sure these aren’t the healthiest, but I typically have a granola bar in my purse just to have on hand in a pinch.

Other snacks I love are carrots and Ranch dressing, so I will buy the individual Ranch packs to take to school. I also love chips and salsa, Balanced Breaks – cheese, cashews, and craisins, as well as Babybel cheese.

What’s your “go to” snack?

If you have a blog, we hope you’ll link up with us today. I’d love to expand my snack options; sometimes I feel like I’m just eating the same things every day.

Next month, our topic is…habits to make time for reading.

Have a great Monday!

  1. When I do snack, it is typically a gator protein bar. They are so big I do only eat half and save the other for later. Also, I got hooked on pnut butter and celery stalks after work. I get home after 8 so that is always a quick snack to hit the spot. I’ll have to try the grab the gold snack. I’ve never heard of them before but never looked either.

  2. What great snacks. I love a protein drink and bars. They are good to give you an extra boost when you need it. Those peanut butter tubs are so cute. I would probably eat more peanut butter if it came individually wrapped.

  3. Ummmm. . .I would love to “healthy snack” but don’t :(. For some reason, when I was in the classroom I did better. . .probably because of routine and all. I love apples and p’butter – I’ve never seen (but never looked) for the individual pacs – great idea! I will go in “spurts” with smoked almonds or salted cashews but then get tired of them and go back to the TJ’s dark chocolate mini cups or a handful of potato chips. This inspires me to be more intentional about snacking!
