Hello and happy Monday!
How was your weekend? Our weekend started off with crazy weather on Friday. Many districts called off school, but we had school and shouldn’t have been in session. There was heavy rains, winds 50+ miles per hour, schools without power and more.
Unfortunately, we had some damage to our front yard. One of the two huge trees in our yard fell over.

I will miss this view in the fall:

We still have the tree on the left, but together, they were quite the dynamic duo in the fall. So many neighbors and friends have even commented on what a bummer it is to lose that tree.
We have power, but so many in our area still haven’t had their power restored. There is so much destruction and devastation in so many areas from Florida to North Carolina. One of our favorite places, Asheville, was ravaged with flooding water.
Anyway, it’s hard to believe, but it’s the last day of September, so I’m sharing some memes that made me chuckle:

I felt like August went by so slowly, but September flew by!

Me every Monday:

This one really did make me laugh because I do save candles!

This is absolutely me:

I do this more than I’d like to admit…

Also me….

I used to be so great at parallel parking, but that is currently not my strength.

Also September…

I can’t wait for the cooler weather that October usually brings.
I hope your week is off to a great start!

I just reused some candles this weekend, and thought “maybe I should buy a new package” but decided not to, there are a few cakes left in their future!

Oh no! The storms sound awful! We’ve had lots of rain but nothing majorly bad. That is a shame about the tree falling.
hahaha! I shared that on social media about September doing 75 in a 35 zone. It’s so true! September flew over!

So sorry to hear that the storm took out one of your trees! That sounds like the storm we had last year and Alec still had school too; but by the time he was headed home all the roads to our house were “closed”.. I had to call and talk him through driving directions including things like “drive around that road closed sign but watch out for the water on the road!”

I, myself, am understaffed – yes! I feel that one in every bit of me! I could use a personal assistant that can read my mind right now. I can relate to all of your memes this month – must be the teacher mom of teenagers coming through.
What a bummer about your tree! It is so beautiful in the fall and I know you will miss it!
