Weekend Top 5

Hello and happy Monday!

How was your weekend? I’m linking up with Sarah and Holly for Hello Monday…

…to share my Weekend Top 5.

Here’s what we were up to this weekend:

On Friday night, Travis and I went to our friends’ Christmas party. It was so good to hang out and see so many of our friends. It was a fun and festive evening.

I was able to get organized this weekend and get some gift wrapping accomplished as well. Also, as of Friday, I think I’m finished Christmas shopping. Yay! Now, I just have to wait for the last few gifts to trickle in.

I had a few minutes here and there to read this weekend, and I’m really enjoying this book:

Hayden had a basketball tournament this weekend. He had two games on Saturday and three games on Sunday. Between games on Saturday, they boys and families hung out at a local restaurant. It was nice to let the kids relax, and the parents got to hang out and chat.

On Sunday, the team made it to the championship game of their bracket. They came up short, but they were still fun to watch play.

After a hectic Sunday, we were still able to make it to our church’s Christmas pageant. A couple of the kids’ friends were in it, so we wanted to support them. Then, there was a church Christmas dinner which was delish.

It was a great way to wrap up our busy and festive weekend.

What was the best part of your weekend?

Two more days of school…I think I can, I think I can…

  1. What a busy weekend! Love your party outfit! Sometimes it’s so nice to dress up! These two days will either fly by or go really slowly, but it sounds like you are in good shape with presents!

    1. We had a good time. I’m tired. What’s new haha…but that’s ok. It’s almost break. We have finals today/tomorrow but I don’t have full classes so probably a slower / less hectic day. I will take it

  2. Two days!! Has this fall semester flown or does it feel like it’s time for a break? It’s tough b/c it’s busy for you but also it’s flying for your kiddos too – soon the busyness will go away and that will be a different kind of life. Enjoy the season you’re in :). Love your wrapping paper – I didn’t buy any this year b/c I have so much left over from previous years but I’m bored/tired of it – doesn’t make wrapping as much fun – ha! I need to get on that. . .have a great day.

    1. Yes it’s busy but I enjoy it 🙂 it’s hard to believe they will be in high school next year and what that season of life will bring. I didn’t buy any new paper last year but picked up a three pack I thought was cute this year.
