Hello and Happy Monday! Shew…we had a busy weekend, but so fun. I’ll share more later in the week, but Friday night Hayden’s baseball team had their end of the season party (even though the season isn’t over) Then, on Saturday, we stopped by a friend’s football game before heading to Hayden’s cross country meet. Then, we went to the UK/MU football game. My Tigers lost, but it was a good one. Sunday was spent at the baseball field and then with Hadley’s Girl Scout troop! Literally, we had zero downtime, and I’m feeling it!
Today, I’m co-hosting the Not Just a Mom link up with these awesome bloggers:

This month’s topic is: Morning Routine.
My morning routine is pretty simple: coffee and quiet time with an occasional workout.
I wake up at 6:10 if I’m not doing a morning workout. Typically, on Tuesday and Friday mornings, I set my alarm for 5:40 and go to my basement for a Beachbody workout. Otherwise, I sleep in a little later, pour myself a cup of coffee, watch the news and read my favorite blogs.

I shower at night, but in the morning, I make sure to wash my face, and apply daily moisturizer. I eat a light breakfast, brush my teeth, and then do makeup and hair.
I’ve seen a post on Instagram about the order people do those morning tasks. I do my makeup, then I do my hair, and then I get dressed. I’ve always done it that way!

I wake the kids around 7:15, and get them a quick breakfast before I go and get dressed.

Travis or I always make the bed. I’ve shared that that’s a non-negotiable chore in our house for us and the kids. Everyone has to to make the bed.

Unfortunately, my routine Monday-Friday is typically rushing to pack a lunch and fussing at my kids to move faster while getting ready π

Iβm typically out the door by 7:45 before arriving at school around 8:00.

So, that’s my morning routine. I feel like I’m forgetting something. π
Next month’s topic is how we handle busy nights. My answer will probably be a plan and some prayers! π

I hope you have a great Monday. Make sure to check out the other ladies’ posts too!

I do that order, too! I shower at night but also jump in for a quick morning shower where I wash my face. I then brush my teeth, do makeup, hair, get dressed. It just seems like it makes more sense! You all must start school much later than us! We start at 7:40.

Right! Sorry – I know I have asked you start time before! That is late! I love it!

The Instagram post doesn’t really apply to me because I don’t wear make up but I get dressed and then “do” my hair — which mostly consists of combing it. I’m too low-maintenance π

Iβm pretty minimal with my makeup and always do my hair the same way so I can get ready in 10 min. My daughter knows more about hair and make than I do π€£

Your kids get ready quickly in half an hour! I guess my kids do too actually.

I do hair, clothes, makeup. I get too hot doing my hair to be fully dressed with a face full of makeup, but I want my clothes on before my makeup so I can get them over my head. I don’t wear that much make up though, and only when I’m going into the office.
So many sports on the weekend, love it!!

I am hair, clothes, makeup. I canβt believe I missed this linkup. I think Iβll do it on Wednesday because I love reading about other peopleβs routines. I canβt wait for next monthβs link up too. Hopefully Iβll have a great system down by then. My goal is to always leave the house at 6:56. Our elementary school hours are 7:15-2:45 for teachers. Have a great week!

Thatβs our elementary time too. Elementary, high, then middleβ¦so right now my kids start after me but get out after meβ¦itβs been an adjustment but we are getting used to it π

I get dressed then do my hair and skip the makeup altogether… but it wasn’t always that way. I used to do my hair and make up first before getting dressed and think I shortened that routine when I had younger kids and just never went back to it.
