Hello! How was your weekend? We had a pretty relaxing one! With not much going on, the kids definitely made up for lost pool time. They were there Friday evening with Travis, Saturday evening as a family, and then Sunday afternoon for a Back to School get together our pool hosted.
On Saturday, I did next to nothing. I had an appointment in the morning, stopped by Hayden’s cross country car wash fundraiser, came home and read my book, watched some television, and took a nap! Then, we went to the pool for a bit in the evening. It was glorious not having anything that I really felt like I had to do.
On Sunday, we went to church, went to the pool for a bit, I placed my Kroger grocery order, and then our neighborhood had their annual block party. It was a busy but great Sunday.
We’re ready to start our first five day week of the year, but first I’m starting the week off with a few laughs.

My husband usually calls one of my boys and asks where I am and what I’m doing because it never fails that I am nowhere near my phone when it rings, or I don’t hear it ring, or I’ve lost it temporarily. Yeah, I am not great at answering my phone or my texts. And I definitely relate to those August memes; it really feels like summer flew by.

Those are some great memes! I never have my phone sounds on either, it’s just too much. I think the best thing to ever happen to me and passwords was my phone. It remembers them all and I can look them up if I need to. I always hate when someone says I look tired. I always want to respond “I have two kids that are involved in a bunch of activities and never sleep in, my husband works crazy hours, and I work full time, so yes, I am tired. How would you like to help me get some rest??” I haven’t gotten the nerve to say it yet though. Your weekend sounds great and relaxing. I hope your week goes well!
