Hello and happy Tuesday…and happy September 1st!
Thank goodness for the “ber” months headed our way.

That being said, in true fashion, September is being ushered in with 100 degree temps! Ugh.
With a new month, I have a few reminders to share. I know I like starting a new month with a fresh start and focus…

- Good things are around the corner: …like cooler temps, football season, apple cider everything and more!
- Change can be good: We had quite the shift from summer to back to school, but so far so good. It’s always good to get back into a routine and, for me, I’ve enjoyed meeting my students and getting back in the swing of things at school.
- It’s okay to treat yourself: Well, I’m glad because my indulgence this weekend was apple cider donuts from Trader Joe’s.
- A new season means a fresh start: Yes!
- It’s okay to get out of your comfort zone: One thing about being a teacher is that we’re often out of our comfort zone…especially at the start of the year meeting new students.
- There are good days ahead: Yes again!

- A new journey begins with a new mindset: I love the start of a new month. Is there a better feeling than turning the page on the calendar to a new month?!
- Value your time by dedicating it to what truly matters: I’ve really made an effort to maximize my time in a way that works best for me. I value my free time now more than ever.
- You are strong enough to to do hard things: This is always a good reminder.
- You have what you need within yourself: Another great reminder!
- Stay focused but flexible; detours can lead to better destinations: I love this reminder…flexibility is key during my school day, but also in life. You never know what blessing is around the corner.
- Let go of things, people, or habits that no longer bring you peace: Age has helped me with this!
I hope you have the best month of September…it leads the way to my favorite month…October!
