Hello and happy Monday!
How was your weekend? We aren’t even back to school yet, and ours was full of high school volleyball. Hadley’s team was in a local tournament this weekend, and it was fun to see the girls back on the court.
Today, I’m clinging to summer break as it’s my last official day of summer before meetings and professional development (now called professional learning…maybe we’re developed enough? haha) starts tomorrow. Students don’t start back until next Wednesday, so my kids still have a few more days of relaxation.
It’s the first Monday of the month, so I’m sharing my Amazon purchases from July.

Most of my Amazon purchases were for school as I shared in the Teacher Talk post last week. I did update it and add a couple of items that I purchased after sharing that post in case you’re interested.
My classroom is officially set up, and now I need to get focused on actual back to school things like creating a syllabus, making copies, and planning first day of school activities.

This tank popped up as “something I might like,” and I do like it. I prefer “muscle tanks” for working out, and this light weight, flowy fabric is perfect. It comes in lots of colors, and you can’t beat the price!

Another month of ordering these under eye patches that are a part of my morning wake up routine. I believe this was my twelfth time ordering.

I finally caved and ordered more forks because…

I give up. Where did all my forks go? This pack is more than what I needed, so I added a few to our silverware drawer, and will save the rest for if/when we need them.

Travis ordered this shoe bag, so he could wash Hayden’s shoes, and it worked perfectly for our needs.

I ordered this blouse last fall, and I loved it so much that I ordered it in a second color almost immediately. Well, in my original order, I sized up, and didn’t need to. So, when this blouse was on major sale for Prime Days, I ordered it again and donated the other blue one. So, now I have it in blue and black, both in my correct size. It’s so good, I want it in another color.

How does Hadley stay looking fifteen? Well, it might be because she has snail mucin as part of her skincare routine! She asked me to re-order this as it’s a staple in her daily routine. Maybe I should try it!

She also requested more earrings, and picked out this pack of gold hoops…

….and this pack of pearl stud earrings.

In 8th grade, when Hadley was going to all the cotillion dances, she wore the same strappy block heels. So, before her cousin’s wedding a few weeks ago, we got her this pair because I have similar ones that I love so much.

Travis ordered Hayden a few pairs of shorts before his running camp in July.

Lastly, my “major” Prime Days purchase was this walking pad, and I love it! I’ve used it nearly every day to get a few extra steps in.

I did debate on buying one with a handle bar, but I went with the one without as I didn’t want it to be an eye sore. I found the perfect spot in our basement where it’s tucked away, and I have a wall on one side, and then a chair on the other side if I feel like I might need help with balance. When I have reached out for the chair, it hasn’t been a bit deal…it’s not that I’ve really lost my balance, it’s just nice to know I have something nearby if needed. I am not a very coordinated person!
That being said, I absolutely don’t know how people use a desk with it. I can barely just listen to my book and walk, but you do you (boo!) if you are able to type and scroll while walking!
This same brand also has a walking pad option that has an incline which might be a preference for some too.
I love that there’s a remote, and a spot for the remote, so it doesn’t get lost. There’s an app too, but I haven’t used that. I don’t see my running crew running on it…it’s definitely more for easy walking in my opinion. I have zero regrets about this purchase!
I’m thinking August will be a “lighter” Amazon month. July was kind of like December with lots of extra purchases for school, and now we should be good to go for a while.

{This post contains Amazon Affiliate links. Thanks for supporting my blog.}

I only bought 3 things this month; one of which was a new filter for our fridge so I figured I’d skip a Prime Purchases for this month. I have always wondered how people walk and type/work too; I can read or watch TV but I would definitely have to stop walking to do anything on the computer!

Our tv is down there, and I usually turn it on to have something for my eyes to focus on but I’m typically listening to a book or podcast:)

I feel like hadley has lots of earrings but somehow she’s lost a few. Maybe they are either my forks!

Snail mucin feels like a last ditch effort lol
But no – just a casual part of the routine haha

I was just looking for a new pair of gold huggie earrings and I love the one’s Hadley chose! Problem solved! That walking pad intrigues me although I think I’d benefit from one with a handle bar, although I hadn’t considered the impact on storage! Hmmm! Have a good first week back!

I think most of them, the handle bar does fold down, but it’s been fine without…but I can see where that feature would come in handy,

I hope the return to school goes well. What great buys!
hahaha! It’s the spoons which go missing in my house.
That shoe bag is brilliant, I didn’t know something like that existed.
The walk pad looks great but I don’t think I would be able to use a laptop while walking.

I spy my favorite top – I wore it today! I know what you mean about the walking pad. We have one, and there is no way I would be able to use it while typing on a computer!

I bought it because of you! Definitely a fave.

Thank you for addressing if you can walk and do something else. I have contemplated one of the walking pads exclusively to go under my desk but honestly don’t think I would be productive working while doing it because it just seems like it would be too hard to work at my usual pace and not fall day.

I guess I could see walking very slowly and working – maybe that’s what people do? But when I get on it, I’m trying to walk at a decent clip for 20 min to get steps in
