Monday Memes

Hello and happy Monday!

How was your weekend? Ours was pretty good. It was so nice to have the sun shining even though the temps were pretty cool outside. We mostly either were watching March Madness games on tv (my house is March Sadness with UK’s first round loss!) or watching Hadley play in her volleyball tournament.

One more week stands between us and spring break…and we’re ready for it!

Can you believe this is the last week of March?! Since next Monday is April 1st, that means today is the last Monday of the month, so I’m sharing some memes that made me chuckle this month.

Here are some of my favorite memes this month:

I swear grocery shopping sends me spiraling sometimes. Why does a big pack of applesauce (the squeeze kind) now cost $10? That’s just such an easy snack that my kids throw in the sports bags, so I usually buy a box every couple of weeks. The $10 price tag at Kroger now makes me angry. Obviously, other prices have gone up too, but that’s the one that stopped me in my tracks yesterday when I placed my Kroger order.

Like…every single store is this way…

My “toxic trait” is being annoyed at Travis when he passes up a good parking spot. haha

Does your family do this too? All four of us have our spots and haven’t changed them in years.

Also, kind of a funny story, but Hayden slips Homer some food sometimes. If we have people over, and someone sits in Hayden’s seat, he sits there and begs…and sometimes gives a soft growl because he wants food. He’s so bad…but I blame Hayden 😆

Wouldn’t this make graduation even more fun?!

I can’t imagine if I didn’t start my day with coffee. I’d wake up grumpy and stay grumpy.

“Receipts” as the kids say.

Well, I actually have had a few orders recently. Between trying to find something for Hadley to wear to church on Easter Sunday as well ordering a few things for their Easter baskets, I have had a few packages lately. That being said, I’m glad to take a break for waiting for packages to arrive.

This one is very relatable. Where have all my forks gone?

Speaking of Easter, I had a few extra minutes this weekend, and made a “Teen Easter Basket” graphic and have added some ideas to my Instagram stories.

Then, I’ve saved them in a highlight. Honestly, a lot of the ideas aren’t just for teens…but that’s obviously my frame of mind as Easter approaches.

Today is also the last day of Amazon’s “Spring Sale.” So, since I won’t have time for a post for the sale or Easter basket ideas, I just thought Instagram highlights would be a good spot to share ideas.

I hope you have a great week ahead.

  1. I love having older kids because I haven’t even given Easter baskets a thought! I will probably do them, though. They are easy and I can just go to the grocery. And, yes, $10 for applesauce? That might be a big Costco savings if you were a member? Tom’s Fritos Scoops party size is now $7 and it’s not a very big party if you know what I mean. I have been taking him to Kroger with me the last few weeks for odds and ends or sending him and he is getting it. The prices are so freaking high on some things and 80s prices on others. It makes no sense.

5 days – I am literally not sure I can do it. Ha!

    1. Well, I just started giving Easter baskets at thought on Friday 😆
It is crazy to me what prices have gone up and what haven’t really. Hard to keep up! I know what you mean. I’ve always wished our spring break was in March – like St Pats time. That’s how it was when I was in school. Of course, then it’s longer until end of school year but I always feel ready for spring break.
