Hello!
I hope your weekend is off to a great start.
I’m linking up with Jennifer on the last Saturday of the month for…

This month I…
Loved:
I loved the snow that we got last week. It was so pretty and lasted a few days with the really cold temps. Now it’s all gone because this week has been warm and rainy!

I’ve also loved watching the kids play volleyball and basketball.

Accomplished:
I’ve accomplished some TV watching! Obviously my “accomplishment” bar is low haha…but I finally had some time to watch some shows I’d been wanting to watch.

I also accomplished blogging every day in January thanks to Bloganuary.

Improved upon:
After a slow start in January, I’ve improved my workout routine. I’ve been able to fill in a few more parts of the January Bodi workout tracker even since this pic I shared earlier in the week.

Noticed:

While I’ve always felt…

I also know…

Being a parent can be hard, y’all!
I should have a post tomorrow and then memes on Monday!
Happy Saturday,

Those words are so true! I feel like I’m parenting as a teacher these days. I spend part of every class reminding them how to be a person. The good news is that I regularly see kids picking up trash off the ground, helping other students when they drop something, holding doors, saying kind things, etc. We even have a group of kids who empties the recycling bins on Fridays after school!
Just remember that you are your kids’ safe place. I bet they are model human beings from start of school day to the end and then they get home and let it all hang out! My kids were never bad, but they gave me lots of ‘tude if they didn’t like what I had to say. The push back on getting up, chores, homework, etc. was exhausting at times.

Thank you for the wise parenting (& teacher!) words. Parenting teens hits different 😆and yes- thankfully what I deal with is mild and sometimes I don’t have a lot of patience because, you are right, we parent so much at school too.

You made me laugh with your comment about tv. I could say the same! You are not kidding about parenthood; sometimes I think my boys are trying to kill me with stupid decisions they make. I’m joking of course…but seriously, sometimes it’s like they’re playing a game that I hate called “Who Can Shock Mom More?”. I love them, though, and I’m here for it all; I know things will always turn out in the end, thanks to the Lord for having them all in His hands. That Chris Harrison meme, though…that’s good. And so accurate! Thanks for linking up today!

My older daughter is graduating from college this spring so the quote about parenting older children is really hitting home right now! I’m impressed by the blogging-every-day-in-January accomplishment!

As a teacher, and getting a snow day, I think that’s why I like snow…because I typically don’t have to go anywhere. I love watching nostalgic shows too.
