Hello!
How is your weekend going? We had a busy day yesterday, but we don’t have much on tap today. I’m ready for a bit of downtime.
I’m continuing with my Bloganuary posts…

…and sharing about…

When I was little, I loved my Madeline doll based on the Madeline children’s book. The main character lives in an all girls boarding school in Paris, France.
The first pic I found of me with my Madeline doll is at my second birthday party.

I carried that doll everywhere…so much so that I think my mom had to “repair” it at some point by sewing a few parts back on…an eye or arm, maybe? Then, eventually, I even got a new one to replace the original.

Madeline and I logged a lot of time together and many memories.

When the kids were little, I got the Madeline book for Hadley and read it to her often.

Do you have a favorite toy from your childhood?

I had a doll that I named Amanda, after my niece. Like your Madeline, she and I logged a lot of miles together! I once left her at a car wash a half hour away; my dad had to leave work to go pick her up for me! After that, my mom got me a backup, but I always preferred the OG. I hadn’t thought of that in ages!

Madeline even got her name in the captions of the family photo album! I think I am a bit too old for her? Maybe she came out when my sister was age appropriate? My sister Molly is 7 years younger.

Oh Jen yes!! I had Madeline too and just LOVED her to pieces! We had the book too and she was definitely one of my childhood faves- thanks so much for bringing back this memory for me 🙂

So cute! I didn’t have something I was particularly attached to, but my sister sure did. She had a doll with eyes that opened and closed and we called her open close ’em doll. Original, right? ha!
